Hello,
this is the progress I have so far:

In the game, you construct buildings to extract resources to save a spaceship that is stranded on a moon, because it run out of propellant.
So far, I got the models for 2 buildings + the rocket, and the ability to spawn the buildings. Tomorrow, I will create one or two more buildings, and create the actual resource system that is behind the game.
Hope you enjoy! -- MAT4DOR
Some of the mechanics are in place, for the first day of the jam I'd say I'm quite satisfied!
Maybe I'll get to finish in time for the Compo this year! :fingers_crossed:
Whether it'll be fun to play is a totally different story, though...
Well, it's time for me and for my dev avatar companion to go get some sleep.
Good night, or good jamming, everyone. See you tomorrow!

A friend and me are working in a racing-ish game with obstacles and battery managment.
Physics and controls are rough but they works. It just miss the battery mechanic and more obstacles to be playable.
!
How are you people doing?
Hey! I've been able to make quite some good progress on it. The code was extremely messy and i completely reworked it. I have a pretty decent ai, and implemented the running out of power theme in the form of a timer. Just need to polish it :)

I think I ended up with somewhere between 10-12 hrs in the end which is a little more than I expected to get.
So what did I do with it
My idea was one based around something similar to hacking mini games like bioshock, I wanted something I could procedurally create puzzles for so that it could be played as long as a person did not get bored. so using a simple hex grid and some basic pathfinding to make sure a level is always completeable and some RNG to hide that as best it can.

I based it around a retro tesla coil look I knocked up quickly in unity, experimented with some electricty effects and used some basic animations as player aids.
I kept the controls pretty simple (left & right click to rotate clockwise and anti clockwise)

the Running out of power comes into it as you have a certain amount of battery to start with, rotating costs you 1 of that power and the hint system will cost you 5. go for as long as you can as the levels get harder.

Tomorrows to do list, Replace Place holder Art Assets, Build UI, Music & SFX, Playable in Itchio, Scoreboard, Time Bonus, More difficult later levels (if time), in that order,
I have plenty done for the day and am happy with progress

Ok so here, in France, it's 12:48PM. I woke up at 4:30AM. I am sooooo tired, but this game jam - my first - is sooo fun. I've wrote the last line of code some minutes ago - wich is great -. I may program more things tomorrow, but the priority is to do all the graphics, wrote the story (wich is wrote on the paper but not un JSon !), wrote some recipes, do some graphics... Maybe add a music, and, finaly, maybe add other features. Here is a gif of what the project looks at the moment : (I'll have to modify the rythm of the game but i'll do that when editing the differents types of clients. I'll also have to correct some bugs, but it's ok.)

So this is what I have so far. It's nothing great but at least the basic functions work. I would really like some opinions on it as I am lost right now. https://xeinix.itch.io/ld-39-entry
Just finished the first working version of my game :)
Hey guys! Here's a song that should be playing as you fix all the bugs in your code! So perfect for bug fixing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rY0WxgSXdEE
i'm onto bug fixing followed by adjustments and then art and sounds left. Good luck everyone with bug fixing!
Hello ludum darers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4NVV-na-gA&feature=youtu.be
Just a small teaser image.
Here we see.. Dr. Watt..son! (get it? ;)) try to manage energy flow within a power plant.
We are having some fun with merging 2D and 3D, the character and assets will mostly be 2D sprites and our energy plasma will be particles that can merge and become "fluids".
Hope you all are having a great LD so far! <3
The Minimum Viable Product for High-Rise is complete - two powerups, infinite levels and non-stop spacebar-pressing action. Graphics and sound is up next!

Though I'd try something a bit different and gave PICO-8 a go! Here's my little Sci-Fi Rogue/Hack thing's progress so far.
Your goal is to travel through space, using preciously dwindling power to find derlict spacecraft to raid for supplies and more power cells. Can you reach the mythical Utopia said to lie at the edge of the Galaxy? Probably not!

Tomorrow: Pickups, Weapons and Armor, special (power draining) equipment, new enemies, and flying to new stations along the way to the game end! Hopefully also have time for some music 'n sound!
To see more progress, check my twitter at @DragonXVI
Good luck everyone!

Got some of my platformer done. It's incredibly buggy right now.
Used Bosca Ceoil for the first time, what an amazing little program.
My legs feel really weird. Help.
Hey, 3rd ludumdare on my side: core gameplay is here, everything is smooth for now

I'm making something rather simple this time,( an endless runner, nothing too crazy really ^ ^)
My main focus here will be on graphics and sounds as i try to make something simple but that feel good to play with ==> in short, a lot of blender modeling tomorow for you guys!
