Day 1 over: Graphics and first playable done

Pic1.png

Still needs some trees and an endangered bald eagle flying dangerously close to the wind turbines, but that is a story for tomorrow.

The basic logic also works, but ah... it's kind of tricky to show at the moment.

(The ducks are not in scale, I know)

Proper progress!

After a day of hard work, and the occasional quick nap i'm getting way more ahead then i figured.

Right now the game plays out in an office. On a friday. Your coworkers are driving you bonkers. You have no energy left... So you run around and steal peopls coffee til you either go crazy... or survive!

friend of mine tried out an earlier build and was nice enough to record it : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QyH0XToK0Xg&feature=youtu.be ( his comments are in dutch )

Work in... sorta progress

Apparently this was the worst possible weekend to hold LD39 for us, the only time of the year when something happens in this town (Some kind of music festival). We are hard at work, or trying to with all the noise from kids running around and the constant background music from the town square.

Still I have some progress on my puzzlegame, so I'm decently satisfied so far.

Balls of Fiery!

They shoot, they move, and they dance! Still need to add the power but there going somewhere... Unity.gif

Finally got a mechanic to the game :D

i've been thinking this whole time about a mechanic for power and i thought of one and made it playable. You only certain amount of jumps to complete a level :D i think this will work pretty well and hopefully not be as dumb as the last two ludum dare game i made XD

Here's something to show it off:GameMaker_ Studio 7em29/em2017 3em27/em43 PM.png very weird yea but W.I.P :)

Drain pt 1

Work is progressing nicely on my puzzle FPS game Drain

Progress

DSafQrPWS5Gzh_TYL3oFRA.png I managed to make a simple scene with the assets I've made. Few gradients, some variation in terrain texture, proper background and it's finished.

After that mechanic related things, like boxes, switches, obstacles and other robots.

Guns, Lazers, and VR

Spent all last night getting guns set up and working with the Oculus SDK. Currently working on adding enemies and a scoring system.

Doing something (with Demons) - Existence = Pain

Who doesn't like these little demons? Sadly this one's captured by the government.. He can't live under these circumstances and every little move hurts him. (You get the theme right?)

Here's a little gif:

Progress so far

So my games based off an Issac Asimov book, one of his short stories; if you have time, you can read it here (about 10 minutes long) http://multivax.com/last_question.html

I'm going for the very last power in the universe!

Oh, and you play as Multivax ! Capture.PNG

Be first at the Remote Control

There is now a male nurse to give you your main objective: get to the remote control first to get to choose the channel!

We're wrapping up our first day, and it's been Fun!

The game we - AAGH Games - are making is coming along fine, since we're going with simpler goals than we usually do. Rather than an ambitious, creative game we're making something basic, fun and silly. As a result, we're having a blast. Our livestreams have been pretty fun, as well. We seem to have the most fun when thing's aren't going as we had hoped. Here's a quick clip of a few things that didn't go the ways we expected, and the fun we had with it. From spinning poles to barrel rolls and even open holes, we like to have fun with Ludum Dare (and our livestreams in general).

Starting to look good!

I decided to imitate that minigame from WarioWare: Smooth Moves where two brothers share a single Wiimote-Nunchuk pair to jump over stuff. Hopefully I'll actually be able to get the accelerometer to control the jumping!
