We just released a post-jam version of the game! In it, we included the most requested fixes (like faster walking speed for the Druid), as well as some stuff that almost nobody asked for (like illustrating the intro). Now the game has two difficulty levels to chose from and it's harder to build your Cactus army.

If you haven't played "The Last Guardian", but would like to, you can find it here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/the-last-guardian. Use the jam version for rating.

But if you already played our game but always wished the Druid would go faster - go ahead, try the new and improved version! Here is a list of changes: - Harder difficulty available (optional) - Illustrated cutscene - Increased movement speed - Tree drops seeds which you now need to plant cacti - Improves attack and stagger animations - Added options and pause menu - Game win condition is more clear now - Added simple screen fading on scene transitions - Druid comments when tree is in danger

Taken over the course of 20 hours (There were several hours of brainstorming, concepting, and sketching beforehand that I didn't capture). There are fun moments like:

🌊 Researching the Great Wave off Kanagawa painting to base the giant wave disaster off of (3:35)

💀Melting the dinos down to their skeletons (7:11)

🛸Making a UFO at 8:15, spending like 2 hrs animating and implementing, then realizing it was 1/2 the size it should be and redrawing it frame-by-frame at 9:05... 🤦‍♀️
