This has been the most fun I've had for a first Ludum Dare, and I am proud of whatever I was able to come up with. If you want to play and rate my game it would be greatly appreciated. Try it out here https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/system-breach
Go review my game Protect The Artifact. It would make my day :)
Here is a follow-up announcement for my own version of the good old Ludum Dare Rescue Rangers.
Getting over 20 comments has been tough this time round, due to the need to have the game developers "like" your comments to get ranking (smart balance) score. The basic idea is good: have people try and write meaningful comments, instead of spending 30 seconds on a game and putting in some ratings. As it is now, however, the quality of your comments is the least of your worries.
The developers of the game have to like your comments. This is not going to work if the developers are out on vacation because they finished the rating process already. Since we're near the end of the rating period, a lot of developers are not checking their comments every day! Only about 12% of the developers show "like" activity in the last 48 hours.
Please note: Occasionally, others will also like your comments. However, there is a quirk in the smart balance calculation that will penalize the game that is rated when there are third party likes. A like on a comment is counted much like a comment, which means the game's score will go down dramatically if you like a bunch of its comments. Check the Github issue here. So please don't do it!
So, how do we find those games with active developers? The answer is, use my new search engine! You get a list of only the "active" games (games that show "like" activity in the past 48 hours), sorted by smart balance. Additionally you can also search by platform or keyword.
The search engine scrapes scores and comments every hour. However, since scraping comments takes 40 minutes, it scrapes only 1/4 of the comments at a time, so refresh time for comments is 4 hours.
If you do not get new comments, but want your game to appear in this list, just un-like, then re-like an old comment. Your game should appear in the "active games" list within 4 hours.

"If you take breaks during a game jam, your game’s gonna suck!"
Here is the source, you can see my name in the chat :)
With only 3 days left for rating games, there's still a lot of games that haven't reached 20 ratings yet (though the percentage is lower than previous editions, which is a nice thing). There isn't really a way to see games which needs ratings except the Danger zone which lists those with 18-19 ratings and should get the missing ones easily, and the 'Zero' one which seems pretty unlikely to get the necessary ratings.
So, the idea here is to share some of those 'hidden' games (wether they're yours or not) and help them reach 20.
Here's a few :
Into the Abyss - Explore below the ocean in search of a missing expedition in this narrative submarine game.
Hamorigami - Play as a tree spirit keeping a bonsai alive in this small chill game.
Pyro Peril - A short but good-looking platformer.
We're really happy with all of the reception that Turtle Daddy has gotten! We really enjoy the idea and vibe of the game, so we would love to flesh it out to a full game. We've ported it over to mobile and we feel like the controls are surprisingly fluid on mobile, so we will aim for a mobile release as well as a desktop.
We've also made several changes on the gameplay based on some players' critiques. We may upload a quick post-jam demo to Itch with the changes once this jam is over.
Here is the game play for the updated mobile version:

Thank you all for playing the game! If you would like to try it out:

Hey guys,
we did improved our game a lot for a post jam version! Our game is made with Godot and is about saving a campfire from distinction. You have to get the torch on the other end of the level and return back to your campfire. You will get some start items in order to make it work! Use them wisely and use the law of physics in your favorite!

We also need some more votes for getting a result (at the moment we have 14 ratings). Our game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/protect-the-torch
So please leave us some votes
_ I'd love to play some other games made with Godot so please leave your link in the comments and i will play them!_

Our main man Winchel wants to thank everyone for playing and congratulate everyone on their awesome games!
We decided to switch from WebGL to downloadable version. The WebGL version had too many problems, time was a bit odd and weird stuff started to happen. So the weird time bug is now fixed with the downloadable version along with other bugs. Unfortunately not all of them, as i didn't have much time to work on it.
Someone broke the rules, i was not expecting that! xD
you can play to my game here hehe: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/water-it

Hello LDers!
I'd love you to check my buddy jeff and put his batteries!
This is my third Ludum Dare, and I'm super happy with the way this weird game turned out!

Program has stopped working, aka the sentence everyone really hates. Or aka the bullet hell game where you, the user, got your PC hacked, your cursor got all wonky, and all the big horrible viruses are out to get ya.
I was actually eagerly awaiting for someone to send me the first bug report, but it didn't happen, so I guess I released a bug-free game. Yay!
Though I left the audio rather unfinished (or more like inexistent) because the deadline was closing in on me, I am actually pretty content with what I managed to create in the short timespan. I'm definitely going to continue with the post-LD development.
Also - note to self - bring down the difficulty scaling, since at the current point, the difficulty gets punishing rather quickly, unless you get lucky with the powerups.

So... overall, not bad for my first game jam, I guess! Big thanks to everyone who rated and commented on my game, I really value any constructive criticism.
If you haven't done so yet - I'd be very glad if you took a few minutes to play the game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/program-has-stopped-working
:warning: I continue working and I hope you like the video, now if it is time to play and rate a little time and continue with the last levels of the game ... :warning: Remember to have fun! https://youtu.be/lP9H_10X7BA
