The more I rate games, the less I give stars :/

I see people having rated hundreds of games... I don't understand how they do it!

I have tried +/- 40 games since the beginning of the rating phase and my brain is already melting! Worse than that, I found myself giving less stars as times goes on... I'm not sure my judgment is getting better.

How many games have you rated? Do you feel like your ratings are getting more generous or more harsh?

Only a few days left to play and rate games!

If you're interested, check out our game about keeping the family business alive.

We're quite happy with how it turned out, and we're working on some improvements for a post-compo version, possibly to be launched on mobile. All feedback is appreciated!

Last Minute Feedback!!!

Hello there! I am 11 and this was my first Ludum Dare. It was super AWSOME! Anyways, this Ludum Dare is about to end sadly. But I need more feedback so I can improve on my games and coding skills. Please give my game a review and a comment at https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/the-last-flower. Thank you so much for all your support! Also, many people ask if I am actually 11 and yes I am! Good Luck Everyone! Also I am trying to get a 💯 reviews. Please help me reach that goal by sending my game link to your friends on Ludum dare. Thank you so much for your support and good luck on your LD games! 😀😃😄😁

Only 4 days left!

There's only 4 days left to rate games, and if you haven't played my compo entry, "Defend the Loot!" why not give it a try? The objective of the game is to defend the loot chest as waves of enemies attack you. Before each wave you get a minute to build up your base.

You can find the game here https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/defend-the-loot

Turn-based plans vs zombies?

If you wonder how a game bearing loose similarities to plant vs zombies (original) but set in turn-based game universe would look like, then please feel free to see my little project! ss7.png

Try ReOrb!

I made a tower defense style game and it's playable on the browser! Try it out here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/reorb gameplay-gif.gif Feel free to leave your games in the comments as well and I'll check them out!

Please try Tyle 2.0! First POST-JAM update!

Tyle2-TitleScreen.jpg

For weeks I've been working hard on a post-jam update and I'm finally "done!" I managed to squeeze in LOTS of new features for this version and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

It's a timing-based clicker game where you destroy tiles to build up your streak multiplier and earn more and more points. There's a nice ambient soundtrack and a built-in online leaderboard.

Please play it here!

(web version coming tomorrow probably)

Post-jam Version

heartache_postjam.png

I decided to make a post-jam version of my game because I wasn't able to get a lot of my core ideas implemented in time for submission.

This is the same gameplay at heart, but with several tweaks and additions:

  • Highscore!
  • New "mitosis" currency that is used to buy cells.
  • Much better pathfinding and AI target selection.
  • Much cleaner difficulty curve with threat level display.
  • Many other minor balance changes and bug fixes.

The post-jam version is accessible on the same page as the jam version. There is now a menu on page load to select which version you want to play.

One Alive At A Time

alive3.PNG First time making a game && joining a game jam. So the idea is: The room is on fire ! However, the house owner went to work… :scream: Objects in the room have to count on themselves to escape. Only ONE object can be alive at a time. But it can pass “life” to others when touching them. How many can survive ? That’s up to you. You start……with a banana.
