Only 4 days left to play On Air!

Janitor_Animation.gif You * might * not be able to ever play the true On Air again if you don't hurry. I've heard Beebo Studios want to put it down and replace it for an "updated" version with a lot of new "feautures"... Stupid additions like "a real tutorial"... Do they think we are to dumb to play? Better hurry to catch the real experience!

This might be your last chance!

Streaming your games pt. 3!

In just a few minutes, I'll be going live on Twitch playing more of the Ludum Dare entries that folks have requested me to play! If you'd like me to play yours, feel free to drop a link in the chat.

Bobbleheads needs to dance

All the Bobbleheads want to do, is to dance. So make them dance all night.

behind the scenes I - animation (repost)

Hello everyone~

For the first time I animated sea creatures for our game 'Perish alive' and actually had so much fun with it that I spend too much time trying to make a smooth movement.. As a result, we didn't manage to add anymore enemies.. haha (sorry, team )

jellyfish-GIF.gif

Nonetheless, I decided to share the 'attack animation cycle' of the jellyfish which consists of 12 frames, all handrawn..(<--- totally over scoped) Each frame is consistent to the one before and after it thus creating a 'flow' which is what makes it look smooth and not jittery.

Have you checked Perish alive?

Cogwhale will be glad to hear what you think about it~ :whale: :whale2:

This is Living Light:

living-light-gameplay-02.gif

No worries, it's easy to play with your mouse only. But beware! You will need all of your senses to reach the depths of the dungeon. Many tried and failed. However, those who fought, reached eternal fame:

New Version: Me:Tree!

Had a lot of fun updating my game Me:Tree: MetreeCover.png

Just a few things: - added new animations! Yeey! :) branch_animation.gif

  • total balancing overhaul, with new game rules
  • added new ressource: nutrients
  • added ressource icons and UI ressource overview
  • added music and a few sounds
  • new system for sunrays
  • level design:
    • The world has now top and bottom ends, with surprises
    • ressources generate when you keep going down
  • hopefully better performance, but still working on it ;)

leefs_fallin.gif It is getting closer to what I imagined, but it is still an experiment ;)

I would apprechiate your feedback for the new version! Remember: Only vote on the Jam Version, if you want to vote... Thank you all!

Rescue Rangers new style!

Remember Ludum Dare Rescue Rangers? I'm trying to bring it back!

Getting over 20 comments has been tough this time round, due to the need to have the game developers "like" your comments to get ranking score. The basic idea is good: have people try and write meaningful comments, instead of spending 30 seconds on a game and keying in some ratings. In practice, however, there are some problems.

First of all, the developers of the game have to like your comments. This is not going to work if the developers are out on vacation because they finished the rating process already. Since we're near the end of the rating period, a lot of developers are not checking their comments every day!

Please note: Occasionally, others will also like your comments. However, there is a quirk in the scoring calculation that will penalize the game that is rated when there are third party likes. A like on a comment is counted much like a comment, which means the game's score will go down dramatically if you like a bunch of its comments. Check the Github issue here. So please don't do it!

So, how do we find those games with active developers? The answer is, use my new search engine! You get a list of only the "active" games, sorted by score. Additionally you can also search by platform or keyword.

The search engine scrapes the data every hour. However, scraping comments takes 40 minutes, so to offload the system a bit, it scrapes only 1/4 of the games at a time, so refresh time for comments is 4 hours.

Cthulhu : The Cult Must Not Die - Battle Theme explained.

Hey good Ludum Dare people! I composed the music and created the SFX for the game "Cthulhu : The Cult Must Not Die". ( https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/cthulhu-the-cult-must-survive )

I decided to create a video where I show my creative process and how I composed the battle theme you can hear when you're summoning the Great Old One.

I hope you'll enjoy the video.

Don't forget that you can still play and rate the game! Help your fellow cultists to survive the waves of heretics that don't believe in the Great Cthulhu!! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/cthulhu-the-cult-must-survive

(I would love to hear your though in the comments)

I barely finished the game for the jam, and I wanted to finish, I really wanted. So after a week I started seeing people uploading their projects. Oh boy I was happy to see that, and started fixing/finishing my game, and I happily did

Now to be really 100% happy with this, I want you to try it! I didn't uploaded a web version for this one, It wouldn't work properly, but it's a small download that would make me "big" happy!

Warning: WHEN RATING, REFER TO THE "THE LAZY KING" VERSION.

The game is essentially the same, but I almost didn't finish the first one, so there's a huge difference.

I tried by best here, hoping I would gave you guys some fun happy few minutes!

Cheers and congratulation to us all, we're awesome I must say
