Ludum Dare 37 December 9–12, 2016

First timer in!

I’ll be hoping to achieve a game centred around art. I’ll have helpers for story and music and we’ll be aiming for a more cinematic experience.

I’ll be using:

Unity

Blender

As for my partners I do not know equipment. Have fun jamming everyone!

Gonna Solo It

So I haven’t done LD in a while, but I’m taking time this weekend to try and crank something out solo. I’ll be working in Unity, probably 2D but it depends on what the theme ends up being. Already trying to brainstorm ideas for all the theme finalists, since I won’t have a full uninterrupted weekend to do this.

Hiya! We’re in.

Since things are tight this time around, we’re only going to have 1 day to make a game instead of the usual 3 days. Let’s hope we can cram in as much content as possible!

First LD! I’m definitely in :)

Okay, so I haven’t made a fully completed game since I was in college and figured this would be a great chance to force myself to complete one. Just started learning GameMaker Studio but I have a solid handle on it, I think :)

Tools: Gamemaker Studio – Photoshop – Aseprite – FL Studio – Audacity

At long last.

I’ve been trying to participate in Ludum Dare for the past 5 years, but I’ve always magically missed it due to one scheduling conflict or another. My time has come. :)

Tools:

Engine: Game Maker Studio (Normally I’d use a proprietary engine I made in C++, but I’ve recently fallen in love with Game Maker)

Art: Aseprite

Music: Ignite

Can’t wait for a long weekend of sleepless nights and massive quantities of pizza!

This will be my first Ludum Dare, really looking forward to participating. I’ll be using Photoshop and maybe Inkscape for art. My game development tool will be Game Maker Studio. For audio most likely bfxr.

Finally, another LD weekend where I’m not going to be busy. A sleepless weekend is on the table.

First Timer Here

Good Morning all,

Posting to confirm I’m in. I’ve been wanting to do LD since LD20 or so. This weekend I finally get my chance. As much as I love Love2d, I’ll be using GameMaker instead (although sometimes, I find I’m writing just as much GML code as I would be in LUA). I have to get used to using objects again and less of locking everything into tables/arrays. I think I might be a bit embarrassed, when and if I finish my project – releasing the project afterwords – aka, don’t laugh at my code or the way I’ve structured things. 😛

Taking part in my second LD after my family was nice enough to organize a trip to friends so I can have the house to myself.

Switching from Cocos2D/C++ to GameMaker Studio, hopefully spending less time coding and more time creating.

I’m in!

This will be my third Ludum Dare (Compo), and the plan is similar to the last time.

I will be using:
Game Engine – Unity
Art – Paint.NET, Blender, OpenSCAD/OSCADSharp
Music – Autotracker.py
Sfx – sfxr/bfxr

One additional note – I’ve been messing around with the touch API for Unity, and I’m hoping to put out an Android version of whatever I make in addition to my typical PC game.
