Scary weird. My drawing and handwriting is just like yours. I’d swear I’m looking at some of my own doodles.

Looks like the 3d’ish levels of Contra!

Well, this was predictable.

This right here is why I should never pick up a pencil when the only instruction is “draw something”. Pretty much only one way it can go.

Why are they riding giant dicks?

MiniLD 33 “Doodle”, Minerbot 2

It’s spring break, so I’m in! The fact that it’s spring break will probably interfere with my work, but it’s worth a shot.

I started my doodle not really remembering what a doodle is, and made a mockup. I realized that it wasn’t a doodle about halfway through, but thought it might be a better use of time just to keep going.

My minild doodle--well, mockup sketch.

Behold, a sketch of some basics for codename Minerbot 2.

Amoebahorse

Hi everybody :) this will be my first time entering LD. I’d like to present first my doodle. The highlighted creatures are the ones I plan on actually using. The only one that isn’t an enemy is Dot, which is the player’s character.

I love doodling, so this is a delightful topic for me. I plan to use the actual drawings as sprites, maybe colored with colored pencil.

Now it’s past bedtime where I am, so I’ll start coding tomorrow. I’ll be using Pygame, and I’ll probably join the IRC channel later.

Bye for now!

Mini Demo X#

So i have a basic start to my game. the goal is to get to the waving flag. by clicking on the empty non red boxes they get filled. The brown boxes fall through these and not the empty ones. The Red boxes are always empty and never change. Also, don’t get caught under a brown box while its falling otherwise you will have to restart the level. only one level is in right now, the second is just a template for me.

UPDATE

Added 4 new levels and a “key”. graphics are just place holders except the player (unless i get really bored then I’ll redesign)

Controls

W: Jump

A: Left

D: Right

Left Mouse: Fill box

This is pretty cool! I’d love to see more of this.

Toukaerb (warmup game)

screen1

I made this fairly simple game to familiarize myself with the new environment I’m using. It is a more constructive interpretation of classic Breakout: instead of destroying blocks, you create them. See how many blocks you can make before losing your ball or getting it stuck.
But there’s an alternative way of playing this: try to get the ball stuck deliberately, using as few blocks as possible.

It’s not doodle-based in any way, bit I’m submiting anyways. Maybe, on a more abstract level, you could consider the game itself a doodle… ah, nevermind.

Controls: mouse or arrow keys. Space or mousebutton resets.

Play it in your browser (source included)

Ahh it’s funny you called this a ‘doodle’, because that’s what I called my last LD48 entry, “A doodle”

Doodle-MiniLD33

I’m in! I drew a game boy with a kind of jump, run and avoid game. So tha’s what I’m gonna do! Also featuring game boy original four colors 😀

I drew it in a train that’s why it looks so weird! 😀

I will be working with JAVA for programming, PAINT.NET for art, BFXR for sounds and possibly LSDJ for music!

I’m entering the Mini LD #33!

Sorry if I’m a little late in posting this, I wasn’t aware there was a Mini-LD happening. But when I saw the theme, I decided I had to enter.

So yeah. The image above would be my doodle, which a drew in about three minutes. It’s a picture of some sort of blob fighting what appears to be a ninja.

At first sight I thought the right one was a ghost. “Ninja vs Ghost” 😀

Now that I think about it, the blob does look like a ghost. Oh well, I already named him Mr. Blob. Maybe I could rename him “Mr.Ghost”
