My game is an space colonization simulator with economic factors such as population, funds, suplies and energy.
to maintain the existense of your planet, you must build generators to transform energy from the sun, extractors on planets to recruit other poeople or on moon to extract suplies. Although you earn funds by second, you shou keep an eye on asteroids, for destroying them will give you extra funds and protect your home.
PS: You will read “Founds” on the screenshots, It’s a mistake i already fixed XD.

building generator on the sun

Protect this one!

hater asteroids’s gonna hate
The Ludum Dare 35 it’s going down the DAY of my dad’s birthday party so I don’t know if I’ll actually submit a whole game this time. But I know I’ll do my best!
I don’t actually know what tools I’ll use but it’s probably going to be something like Unity, GameMaker: Studio or even Construct 2 cause it takes the least time to “program” the game so I can focus more on mechanics and that juicy game feel.
Super exited for this LD and, if my dad is ok with me missing some of his party, i’ll make the most out of it!
LET’S DO THIS!
I missed the last LD because I was moving into college. But now, I’LL BE STREAMING THE WHOLE THING.
The tools I’ll use will be…
Ludum Dare compos are always fun! I can’t wait to play all the games.
Make sure to check out this page to get to know me better!
Good luck to all!
I decided to make something unusual for me. Its a room, and there’s a text input system. You type stuff and stuff happens.
There is a story there, but I doubt anyone will play for that long.
Screenshot time:

Yes! The excitement of moving out of college! Except that I must do this LD, because I enjoy suffering. So yeah, I'll make something during this weekend, while packing and moving my shit out of the dorm.
Wish me luck.
Last time I has a horrible time for a number of reasons. This time i'll be travelling but i'll take my laptop. Damn, it should be interesting.
Bottom line is: I'm in, hopefully there will be a game ready to play Sunday.
This time the LD will start on my birthday. That's kinda cool, now I can expect family lovely members to interrupt my jammin'! Seriously though, I'm exited for this one, balancing my birthday and personal stuff with the jam should be interesting.
I'll be using GameMaker Studio 2 for my engine, Aseprite for art and SFXR/Bosca Ceoil for sounds.
Good luck to everyone jamming!
My dad came to visit me and we spent this weekend together, which was nice, but I ended up missing yet another LD :(
This will be the 3rd I miss in a row... But next time I swear I'll do it!!
Only thing left to do is play your games so leave a link in the comments if you want me to play them :D (I'll also browse around, of course)
Last Time I couldn't participate in the compo because my parents decided to visit for my birthday, which was nice and a bit surprising since I live in Canada and they live in Peru (long story). But now, There is nothing to stop me from doing this! It's been a while since I did an LD, and I don't think I have any games posted in the new website so this should be exiting.
Anyways, good luck to all jammers and I'm exited to play (and make) some weird stuff with you all!
It's been a while since I finished an LD. I've been busy with college stuff and end of semester things, but I did finish making game this weekend. Little victories I suppose.
My submission is a typing game where you have to write a short story from a combination of randomly selected themes in 10 seconds.

You can find it here: 10 Second Script
Hi! For this LD, I made a creative writing game / tool. It was supposed to be a meta-parody of the Ludum Dare that was quick to make. However, as it turned out, some people thought it was funny, entertaining and, to my surprise, legitimately useful. So I've decided to make this a legit tool for creativity, writing and idea-generation. Don't know how long it's going to take, but hell, I got time.
Thank you to everyone who played the "game"! You've been awesome and left some useful feedback (I'll make the time longer). If you haven't played it yet, here's a link: 10 Second Script
Now I should go play other Ludum Dare games. I've been travelling and finishing assignments so I haven't done that as much as I should!
This was a very special weekend. I went to a party 15 min after the theme was announced, got drunk out of my ass, and came back to work on the game. 48 hours later I got a full (rather short) game that I actually like!
The game is Hydrogenic, a radial puzzle/platformer about forming a hydrogen atom before it collapses.
You can play it here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/hydrogenic
I'll leave you with with a hot new gif:

Hope everyone had fun this weekend and I excited to play everyone's games!
Just finished my Game Design degree so I can start focusing on actually making games now yay!
Can't wait to see what everyone makes this weekend!
I haven't finished a jam properly in quite a while. In fact, even the games I've submitted here have been half-assed 1-day sketches cause I either didn't actually have time or just got massively distracted.
I'm actually making a game this weekend though. This time I gotta do it.
Have fun everyone!
