Really happy with my results for Humour but had been hoping to get a better result in the Overall category. Didn’t beat my last LD, ohh well maybe next time…

Still plan on expanding on Zanlings Match and have come up with 42 other contestants so far.

Congratulations again everyone on another successful LD and only 80 days till we do this all again.

This is my third attempt at Ludum Dare so we’ll see how this goes.

My idea is you’re a detective looking through a peephole at a scene where a murder is to occur and you have to solve it by paying attention. Not sure where I’m going with this but intro is now done so I’m moving on to the actual mechanics. Been posting updates as I go on my Twitter.

This is going to be my fourth Ludum Dare in a row which I’m pretty happy about. Hopefully this time I won’t waste too much time coming up with an idea and can finish something that I’ll be happy with.

Learnt a lot each time from entering so looking forward to seeing how this one will go. Going to try and do Twitter updates through the whole process so that should be interesting. Also hoping to beat my past scores, although doubt I’ll be able to beat my graphic rank of #11 from the last one.

Ludum Dare 32 – An Unconventional Weapon

This was my fourth Ludum Dare so this time I had a better approach to the whole process. Last LD I suffered from focusing too much on the graphics and not enough on the content. This time I made sure to build a small playable experience before filling in the graphics.

 

The game idea I decided early on was going to be a play on the old final fantasy/shining force games. The player is thrown into an existing game and right away runs into an “enemy”. In the battle screen they can choose to Attack, Run or use the Unconventional Weapon.

I wanted to play on the way players know what is expected of them to do in games and how they do it without questioning.

The game is a really short experience but I’m quite happy with it and do plan on expanding on it. I have so many ideas for this world and situations that I didn’t have time to add in. Will continue posting on my twitter as I get around to working on it.

This will be my fifth Ludum Dare in a row. Hoping for the best and we’ll see what happens. I’ll be happy to just have people play whatever I make and hopefully beat some of my past scores.

Once again I’ll be tweeting my progress as I go.

Finished my entry for LD35. Didn’t get to do a lot of stuff that I wanted to do but still pretty happy with what I submitted.

It’s a small quick dancing pattern game.
