This is the second time I’ll be participating. Last time around which was Ludum Dare 33 was a failure but this time i hope i get something better(something at all)
TOOLS:
Game Engine: Unity3d
Programming Language: C#
Art: Standard assets and stuff from OpenGameArt.org
Sound Effects: BFXR
Third time participating. I’ll work alone and do mostly everything myself
Tools:
Game Engine: Unity
Art: Photoshop
Sound: BFXR and probably something royalty free
I’m probably gonna make something that is really independent of fancy graphics since I’m more of a programmer.

Just finished up. Really happy with the feel and atmosphere. But the length of the game kinda fell short. But there’s atleast some replayability to it with the high score. I’m calling it RGB Escape.
Here’s some screen caps

This will be the fourth time participating for me. And hopefully the third time finishing and submitting.
I’m disappointed because I recently found out that the ratings/voting system for this Ludum Dare will not be used, I personally find the week after the jam to be the most exciting playing other peoples game and rating them and then getting comments back from other people! It might be silly but I don’t find much incentive to play others game or even participate and crunch a weekend without the ratings system. So I hope it’s back for the next event.
Other than that this is the tools I plan on using for this event, Unity is the game engine I will most likely use and then probably use the 2D mode in Unity since I make mostly 2D games. For making art/sprites I will use Gimp because It’s easy and fast to setup and just sketching out something simple. Lastly I will use BFXR for sound.
*Just re-read the post about the jam and I think the comments are still on even though there’s no voting so that’s good.
It’s 2am now and I’m about to go to bed but before that I just want write this little re-cap of our first development day!
Woke up at around 7am and got up around 8am, my teammate and I drafted and decided on an idea relatively quickly.
The basic concept is that you are stuck in a room that’s being attacked by enemies and you’re only defense is a little Droid.
Each enemy comes in a different color and the objective is to from inside the room press buttons so that your droid fires the right shot at the enemies
This is my first time working with an actual artist so the game looks way prettier than any of my previous entries;
Here’s some screenshots of the game in it’s current state.

I’m really pleased with the look of the game, I just hope the gameplay can deliver atleast somewhat of a enjoyable experience!
Finally another Ludum Dare, good luck to everyone participating!
4th time (something like that) and this time I'm using my own framework (C++ & OpenGL). If anyone who also does C++ or OpenGL stuff wanna chat I just joined the Ludum Dare discord so just hit me up on there. My username is #Styrbjörn
Good luck to everyone!
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/no-room Finally done! Proud of what I managed to make in such a short time.
^^ as the title say. I remember having a link to my old profile on the old LD site. Can I still get hold on such link?
