World 1 of post ludum version
Befor the Jam
The combo started for us on 2 o’clock am on Saturday. We started to think about the theme on Friday.
I personally has preferred “growing” for a puzzle game. But when the final voting starts “planet”, “space”, “worlds” came up.
I also translated the themes in swissgerman and ask my son’s (9) for a game in mind.
The best was chaos = cleaning the Child’s Bedroom.
For Connected Worlds it was something with a elevator.
Saturday
We start on 8 o’clock. While I was driving to Sammakko, the closing elevator door was spooking around in my mind.
Our goal was every-time a working game.
So we started with 3 screens (intro, game and end-screen) and keep them running.
We think about using Tiled for our main tool to build the worlds without knowing anything about it [-], a big mistake.
The end of the first JAM day was on 2 0’clock in the morning.
Sunday
I was creating the animation live on twitch the hole afternoon [-].
Loosing a lot of time.
Monday
Normal working until 4 o’clock pm, then starting to build content until 1 o’clock.
During the night I ask [+] dark3zz if he can help us with a matching background music from his archive. He gave us this beautiful peace of music.
**Thank You**
[-] never played around with the Tiled Map Editor
[-] never created a animation with Pyxel
[-] not jamming with kids around you
[+] ask dark3zz for background music
[+] Teamwork
[+] Keep the game running
It was a funny and very interesting experience.

We are switching from Java, Libgdx, Eclipse to Godot Engine with gdscript
a huge challenge for me and sammakko our main java programmer

Finally, we are in a Momentum now, yesterday was very difficult, but after that depressing time, we have found a very nice game mechanic which works fine! A Stage which you have to defend from your Raging Fans
Rage the Stage was our 3 game and the first as a team of 3 people.
We accepted the challenge “why not try something new“.
So no Java and no Libgdx. A bigger challenge for sammakko as for me.
For our 3th game we used Godot Engine. I’ve had some training with the MiniLD #58 – MuMoPo.

Preparation
Our only preparation was thinking during the theme voting about what game we can make with the themes.
Unfortunately, for An Unconventional Weapon we haven’t any cool idea!
Jam session
dark3zz (soundcloud.com/dark3zz) has joined us for the first time with his amazing equipment.
For us, he was big source of inspiration and pushed us forwards.

What worked out well
– teamwork (first time working in threes)
– no major problem with Godot
What didn’t worked out well
– only on the last day we had a working game to play and improve the gameplay.
Need improvement
– no more music game and no more e-guitar
Many thank’s to
sammakko – the main programmer
dark3zz – master of music
and YOU – for helping to improve the gameplay and voting

Sneak into houses, find the right bed, roar near pillow and scare the sleeping resident!
The game was created entirely (music, sound effects, graphics) in the jam days, no prework were done.
As game engine we used godot.

You like to create games more visually (like me) than you need to try it out perhaps it fits your workflow.
When you like to play and rate our game you can find it here Scream Hunter
or listen to the game music https://soundcloud.com/andydnet/sets/ludum-dare-33-game-compo-music .
Thanks from the whole team for voting and commenting.
