Rotten Fruit of the death Post Mortem

First time on LD, first game, and i’m glad i’ve already learned a lot on which game i wanted to create. I’ve also learn the hard way that improvising can break what you’ve done for hours. In the end it was somehow difficult to stay focus on what’s important and try not to lose myself in much complicated mechanics as i’m a newbie.

Final result for me? I had so much fun that now i have the “Indie Game Creation” virus and i love that. Let’s work, try things and see you on next LD and games.

Count me in

And this time it would be with Unity that i started learning 2 weeks ago.

It’s going to be a fun trainwreck

I dit it, first game with Unity and quite proud

I started to learn Unity and C# 3 weeks ago and it’s the first game i do from scratch and i’m quite proud of what i’ve done.

The version i’m going to submit will have only one level (because i’m short on time for Compo) but i’ve a blast doing it, losing so much time rethinking my concept and struggling with my short knowledge.

I’ve learned so much this 2 days!

Let’s see if i’ve to continue the game after the Jam.

Good night :)Screenshot_7

Still a lot to do but quite proud of my first Unity game

Even if i know there is flows, only one level and such things, i’m here to learn, to get feedback on my new and starting career as an indie game dev.

My compo is an adventure/puzzle game where you have to find you way out of a maze, and on the plus side you have to play as an awesome Cactus that can shapeshift to help him passing through some obstacle.

Now that the game is stable and has it’s web version playable i thought that it will be good to write a few word to get some people playing it and giving feedbacks.

It’s called Mighty Morphin’ Cactus : in the dark and you can find it here.

Thanks for reading and playing.

A game, 4 levels and just the sound and musics missing.

oneroomonebomboneminutelogo-web

I’ve been working a different way this time. Taking my time, trying to continue living on the side, sleeping enough and no stress. The result is that i’m pretty happy with what i’ve.

4 levels and going to work on the sounds and musics and maybe trying to create more levels.

I’ve been using Construct 2 this time and happy about i too. Maybe some improvment to do in the logic but it works the way i want it to work.

If you want some help or collaboration for the music, I would be happy to help out.

I’m pretty sure you always wanted to control an Anti-bomb Robot

And if i’m right you should give a try to my compo “One room, One Bomb, One Minute”.

The concept is simple, you control a robot with the arrow keys, up is to accelerate, down to break, left and right to steer. The only other key you need is the Space Bar key that will help you destroy boxes while you’re in contact with them.

You got 4 levels, the fourth one is a special gift for the holidays season.

Come give me your feedback and your final score 😉

The Finish line is approaching, want to play (vote?) some One Room One Bomb One Minute

Happy New Year everyone!

So we’re near the finish line for the ratings and until now all the commentaries i got was really constructive, interesting and also motivating. So thank you all for that.

oneroomonebomboneminutelogo-web

Regarding this i may want to continue working on the concept and see if i can get something more complete and challenging than this compo entry i’ve made.

I want to add more mechanics, create more levels, change the look and feel of the overall (maybe some flat design) and have some silly ideas about playing a dog instead of a bomb diffusal robot. Why not trying to go outside the “one room” theme in new levels.

Again thank you all for the motivation, 2017 will be my decisive year for game making, i feel it.

Play and rate my game right here, don’t forget the comments and come talk on twitter @Siryakko.

Small Worlds must survive too

It has been a difficult start, wandering a lot around, but now i've my controls, my camera and my characters. I've even some mechanics (some survival thingy too). But now i've to continue working on the goal and gameplay of the game.

I'm using Illustrator CC and Construct 2

A small world lost in a big universe

My take on the theme turns out to be a non violent game, that ask you (as a small world with a big Alien) to go after your love that you've just lost.

I've made my first random positionning, i've my goal, now i must add some mechanics to the alien to make it more useful, adding music, maybe sounds, and some fine tuning in graphics.

It's over for me, time to sleep and feel happy

After having a hard time finding what i wanted to do, how i wanted to do it, some technical issue in the end that was like a sign of "Stop it now before you'll ruin the compo", i've managed to do my prototype like game and liking what i've done.

you can find it here A Small world lost in a big universe

You'll find it in two version, the original one meant to be play at 1920*1080 and another 50% smaller to be playable directly in your browser default size.

Good luck everyone doing the compo for the final touch. And have fun, just fun like i had.

Good night if you happen to be on the same time zone i am.

I've switched to a downloadable build of my game

After retesting my web build, getting some feedback, and being not really happy with what the hosting websites was offering me. I decided this year to offer my game prototype as an executable file for both windows, mac and linux.

The game comes in two resolutions : 19201080 and 960540.

Hope it helps players getting to try my game and giving me feedback.

I'm happy with my ratings so far

This year, the theme wasn't my favorite. Despite that fact, i managed to create something that i really like and passionate me enough to work on a full game experience. Now that the ratings are showing, i'm happy to see that i'm no wrong by persevering on that idea.

If you didn't have played the game yet, or rate / commented it, feel free to do so, i'm hungry for feedbacks. Don't forget to mention your game in the comments, i'll be happy to try and review them.

I'm in and think i've an idea

Greetings from Belgium where i decided to get a good night sleep before reading the Theme and working on an idea.

My first idea, which i'm going to stick to it and keep it simple, is to make a loot driven game where you'll have to make time and money sacrifices to get through it.

the working title : I've made a LOOT of sacrifices.

I'll try to keep you posted if anyone ever happened to be interested.

Oh look i've my base mechanics

Maybe not the most perfect way to get it, but i know how it works and how to maintain / debug it.

Still i got my base mechanics and happy with itScreenshot_2.jpg

Aaargh the frustration

After one day of #LDJAM #ldjam43 i've tried to make my idea come to life, since the base mechanics was done i've been stuck in a loop of uncertainty and nothing more was done, hours of frustration. Hope today will be better i'll have to restart from scratch...
