I’m In

I’m no stranger to the Ludum Dare but this will be the first time I’m actually competing. I hope I can create something fun in the next 48 hours. I love to code but the art part has me a little worried. I’m sure it will all work out.  I’m looking forward to making a game and hope everybody has a good time.

What I’ll be using:

  • Visual Studio 2015
  • Monogame
  • Bfxr
  • Paint
  • GIMP

I’m In

I’m excited to be participating in my second Ludum Dare. I’m planning on entering the compo like last time. Last LD I finished a game but it wasn’t very fun or playable. This time I am hoping to change that and create something fun and enjoyable to play. I am looking forward to learning a lot and playing some awesome games.

Tools I will be using:

Visual Studio 2015

Monogame

Bfxr

Paint

GIMP

I’m in again for the compo. The theme selection is pretty good this time around so I’m sure it will be something great. I’m looking forward to making something in the next 48 hours. Good luck to everybody. I hope we all have a great time.

I’m In

Time to make a game in a weekend again. I didn’t get to finish my game last time. I’m hoping nothing comes up this time. I told myself I was going to learn Unity so I could make a web version of my game but I never did. Going to be using MonoGame again. It’s a great framework, especially for 2D games. It should be a really fun jam and I hope everybody has a good time.

What I’m using:

  • Visual Studio 2015 (C#)
  • MonoGame 3.5
  • BFXR
  • GIMP
  • MS Paint

Change of plans

I love MonoGame and everything that goes along with modern programming languages (such as graphics); however, I couldn’t think of anything that fit the theme that was possible to create in a weekend. So rather than create a game focused on ancient technology, I decided to make a game for ancient technology. My new game is text based tic tac toe for the Commodore  64. I’m writing it in Basic using the Vice emulator. I have always hoped to find a Commodore 64 in the wild but never have. This is the next best thing. Plus I get to learn an old, outdated language in the process. What’s not to love?

New Development Tools:

  • Vice Commodore Emulator

Ludum Dare 37

I’m In

I’m in again. Like usual, the plan is to use MonoGame and C#. It’s the framework and language I’m most familiar with. Last time I had a change of plans with the “Ancient Technology” theme and ended up making a Tic Tac Toe game for the Commodore 64 using Commodore BASIC. I definitely learned a lot because it was my first time using a C64 (emulator). Not expecting any major language or system changes this time around but you never know what will come up. That’s a major part of the fun in these jams. I’m looking forward to developing something fun this weekend. I hope everybody has good time and learns a lot. Good luck to everybody.

What I’m most likely using:

  • Visual Studio 2015 Community (C#)
  • MonoGame 3.5
  • BFXR
  • GIMP
  • MS Paint
