Another beutiful mourning

Hello everyone! It's the middle of the day for me so I thought I would share my progress. ezgif.com-gif-maker (1).gif You can see what is the game about here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/50/$286404/morning-everyone Currently 2 apps are left to finish. Of course I also have to add menus, music, sounds and polish. Hope you the best of luck for the home strech! Bye for now.

Not a great game so far

I'm working lonely and im not great at art, so this is the best thing i got so far... asd123.gif

Judgement

Simple game where you have some choices that will lead to an inevitable end .

you have to hold the buttons long .

there is 4 differents end.

once you die or finish the game , there is a 15 seconds cooldown that restarts the game.

sometimes , you have to click 2-3 times on the buttons for them to work , it's random .

Graphics update

It's coming together...

I'm getting there... The game is running a full cycle from start to game over now.

Really need to start composing soon and then off for tweaking, balancing and artwork improvements. Might become a close call... again.

I wish I had 72h

Experimenting with this "bookish" art style was so much fun, specially because it's kinda fast to reach cool results !

Mechanics, But No Gameplay Yet

Swim City 2000 is a city building game where you try to build a city while the world is slowly flooded by the water streaming in from the corner of the level. It does not have any city building gameplay yet, but I managed to make this cool flooding simulation. Now all I need is UI and actual gameplay!

Done!

My game is now published. And now for the rating part! (I usually play 2-3 games before the deadline, can be helpful to find bugs while there's still time)

Good luck to all participants, you can do it!

Really proud of these active ragdoll enemies!

Graphics getting linked up now!

Graphics are starting to come into our sheep herding game now, but I'm going to miss everything being the Godot logo!

What weird and wonderful placeholders does everyone else use?

I'm just amazed how good is https://microstudio.dev/ for jams.

It's crazy: was my first project with matter (or any other physic engine) I was solo and very short on time (just few hours steal from family matters) but I manage to complete the task.

My only other experience with Ludum Dare was a nightmare, we worked in a team of 3 coders (1 was also a god artist) from early morning to late night, eating pizza and loosing sleep. The final result was terrible (quite terrible) with a final rush to have something vaguely playable.

Now I'm quite sure, we just chosen the wrong tools, so be confident when it comes to choosing your warhorse.

A short word...

I can’t really participate, and I wanted to write a short word for all the Jam participants…

😉

Extra it is then

segfault.png Even though there's 1 day and 9 hours to go, I don't know if this rabbit hole of memory access violations is going to end at this rate :D

C++ :heart::heart:

Waking Gerald is Coming Along

No big setbacks so far, hopefully we finish before the end of the day. Excited to see what yall come up with! Promo.png

Jam or Compo

Hi guys! Since this is my first LD I was shooting for the Jam, but I didn't end up using any existing assets. I'm pretty confident my game will be done (for some definition of that, at least) in 9 hours. I don't mind publishing source code either. Any other reason not to go for Compo instead?

In case you're curious, my game is very simple: avoid ever denser space debris! kesslerScreenshotSmall.png
