Noise!

Lifehack! If you are a programmer, and need to design something scary, but don't know how. One word my friend: noisefilter. It is perfect! Use it on your projects, use it on your pancakes: noisefilters are here to save your day!

Overpopulation!

Overpopulation.png It probably needs some balancing (grass eater are OP). Good point, though: the game runs with 800 characters!

Almost there

I just need to create the graphics for my game and spice it up with player feedback and all the juicy things Best of luck everyone

WIP Rock n Roll!

It will probably stay pretty rough, as there's only two of us this time, but we'll try to make that stupid Rock n Roll point and click sort of work! LD50_Capture01.PNG One More Song! One More Song! One More Song!

Even bugs must eventually BECOME CRAB

I got stuck on a stupid bug for several hours last night, went to sleep, and then stayed stuck on it for several more hours this morning. Ugh. Finally got through it, though, and I'm gonna see what I can get done in my remaining time. I really like what I have so far and hope I am able to complete enough that people can enjoy it!

The main mechanic is done

In Cat Fragmentator, a computer user is continuously downloading cat images in a hard disk, which will become inevitably full.

You play as a process inside the hard disk that fragments cat images, in order to optimize space. How long will you be able to stay alive ?

This game is being done with the Squarity engine : http://squarity.fr.

Demons don't breathe

Who shall win this fight? The demon fighting for their newborn soul, or the giant fighting for the safety of his loved ones? You can't delay the inevitable. WIN.png

Development Livestream

I streamed some playtest/development cycle on Twitch last night, if you missed it you can catch the VoD at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1445249118

Today we actually write the rules, make a PDF, and if there's time get into TTS import. I'll be streaming at least part of that process over at https://twitch.tv/marcmagus starting in a few minutes.

Almost ready

We are almost ready after 2 entire days of work we don't really expect anything because the best part is not winnig it is making friends and have a fun time participating and programing. Good luck y'all!

Ludum Dare 50 - Progress 1

https://youtu.be/7jifTcDZE4M

Finally have some gameplay setup, but it was after a lot of soul searching and foundational coding. Time to make some L E V E L S

Working Logistics

The mini economy seems to flourish now. I'm sure there are some edge case bugs hidden, but the right feeling starts to come together. economy2.gif

Day 2. Player Movement complete

preview1.gif Progress not going as quick as I usually like but I'm happy with it so far.

Sitrep

I must say there are pretty cool projects going on, congrats to all teams! I really like them.

I hadn't yet the chance to report my progress. At first I was keen on some strategy game, but later decided to go for some platformer with easier mechanics. After a lot of nonsense ideas, I thought of an old, never finished, barely started, project that may fit the LD theme. The story was about a bloke named Jan, ex-military and professor in Ancient History, recruited to rescue a lost expedition, under the threat of an unknown organisation.

I've redesigned quite a lot, and finished, some of the former assets.

There's still plenty to do. But it's a starting point.

Dawn of the Final Day

Mostly finished, pleased with how this one is turning out. Probably just going spend the last few hours on polish (modeling hats)
