Good luck
Good Lucky everyone for the last hours
Good Lucky everyone for the last hours
Hello all. Finally done with this LD. I couldn't do everything I wanted, but I am still somewhat proud of what I accomplished in 72 hours. Again sound is my main nemesis... one day...

If you would like to check out my new game it's here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/pizza-time

Just submitted my jam entry. I had a lot of fun making this and strangely enough had time to play and polish it, and I'm pretty happy with the result.

I changed the free assets with some simple vector graphics that I made. While not impressive, I like that at least the style is more consistent. This is the version at the end of day 1 for comparison:

I decided on a theme at the last possible moment and was thinking something like trying to protect these extractors that are warping in an alternate dimension to harvest the power of time, while some time guardians are trying to prevent that from happening.
I was thinking of adding multiple enemies or powerups in the beginning, but I ended up skipping that in favor of adding more polish. No doubt adding more would have resulted in a more buggy experience.
I enjoyed working with Godot, I love how signals and Nodes work compared to Unity, but I did have a lot of trouble with rotating rigidbodies that in Unity would be pretty easy to solve.

Anyone else receiving notifications for comments on other people's games? Left a couple comments and now most of my notification feed is all messages that aren't addressed to me. And I have at least one mention that shows up as a comment. At this rate, it might only be a day or two before I lose all hope of keeping up with conversations. : (
We just publish our game for the Ludum dare 51. It's my second Ludum Dare and I want to thank all my team. They did wonderfull work during this 3 days. We want to did something different from our past jams, because we always did puzzle or management game and we want more action. So we did a little platformer game with a lot of love (litteraly). It was intense, with for example the sound artist being called for giving a concert saturday evening or with all the tests and bugs during development. I hope we fixed most of them and you enjoy play this little piece of game. Thank you Vidu for the art, Lexumpy for the charachter animation, CamCam for the music and the sounds, and Toki for the UX, the tests and various integration in Unity while I was coding. I want another jam soon!!!

This was very weird jam for me to be honest. Using C++ in Godot turned out to be painful, but i gone through it to publish my game!

It's nothing like we planned, it's brutally difficult, it lost a lot of good ideas that we probably could have had time for had we used Game Maker, however

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/$296663
chances are we might tinker around with it until the jam ends, so maybe wait a few more hours lest your high score get cleared.
This is my second game jam, and the first one we didn't make it on time unfortunately. Yet every min spend in game jams teach me so much more then I would ever expected. I wasn't a computer science student to begin with, but a psychology major. It all started when I meet my friend @coolgunxdd and we talked about the game industry, game making and all. I would never expect I am going to be here doing games without that conversation out of the blue
. I am grateful to everyone I meet in this journey, and as I proceed, going deeper into this big world of game construction community. Pls try our game, it is about a cat evading from wave every 10 seconds;)

I've played and rated a number of games and man you guys have them ideas  anyway I noticed that ludum dare embedding is brocken, like only 1 out of like 5 embedded games work, I noticed that I wasn't the only one with this problem as many others complained about it in the comments for all sorts of reasons. now I personally used itch.io to publish my entry because I was afraid that the new embedding system may screw-up and IT DID!!!!!! I hope this gets fixed soon
I know I should also rate other games (which I will do) but I just want people to know that my game is a thingand to rate it! So maybe go do that if you haven't already!

Hey hey!
Long time no see. @liquidfunk and I have been monkeying around the last couple of days, creating the latest game from our multi-award winning game studio GORGONZOLA Games™. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you...
:drum: ...
Monkey Bu$iness!
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/monkey-buiness

That's right! We've been toiling away, breaking our backs and enduring the whip cracks of our self-imposed perfectionism, to present to you this groundbreaking, state-of-the-art experience.
Monkey Bu$iness.
In this game, you play as Don Aper, CEO of banana trading company Costa Banana. You've built your empire buying and selling bananas, and you'll be a monkey's uncle if you'll let anyone take it away from you. The rules are simple. To keep your rightful place on the throne, you need to buy LOW and sell HIGH.
"This is the dumbest idea for a game ever." - IGN, 9/10
"Please leave me alone, I'm trying to eat." - GameSpot, TBA/10
"HAHA! IT'S PERFECT." - Mr. Games, 10/10
"Although charming in concept, Monkey Bu$iness is a deeply flawed experience that leaves much to be desired." - My father, 4/10
Please help Pandora escape

Im finally finished with my game!
I had alot of fun and also learnt alot over the last 3 days. Nontheless i have a lot of ways in which i can improve my game. But theres to less time to risk another broken state :)
Sadly the embed-system is kinda broken right now so i uploaded my game on itch.io: https://angrybeard.itch.io/slimebonker
Thank you very much for trying out my game and leave a comment and/or a rating if you like! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/slimebonker
