Pheww, what an adventure ! How was the LD for y'all ? I hope it went fine for you ! I am personally really proud of what we have done for our game ! Of course, the game can be perfected, but it's playable, and we even were able to polish it before the end !

For a bit of shameless self promotion, now that the RATING PHASE has started... this is what I made for the Jam this ludum dare. It's super janky but I had fun making it, and it helped me learn a bunch of useful stuff about rpg maker! It's mainly a little puzzle game about moving boxes... and depression. Fun times!
Anyhow please play and rate :D

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/morbid-expeditionI've built a really huge world for my game, and I'm so happy with how it turned out! I've got over 30 different scenes, each with a lot of effort put into making a beautiful and interesting world. It's all interconnected in a weird sort of metroidvania, where you learn how to avoid and exploit a curse.
But anywho, I wanted to show off a few of the locations, probably over a few posts, I'm just so happy with how they all turned out!
And yeah, the game communicates via QR codes instead of dialogue.
If you're interested, there's a web build here and the LD page over here. I couldn't get the web build to work on LD, too tired to troubleshoot =P I'll also be playing your games on stream, probably tomorrow! :v:

Thank you all for playing my game! I love the feedback I'm getting and it seems most of you enjoy playing. It's really cool to see others experiencing a thing you made. I'm sure many of you others feel the same way. Also, Thank you for all great games! I'm having a blast trying out all your crazy ideas and it's amazing to see what you guys have been able to push out in the short time we have been given.
...but there's moreI'm really hitting myself about this, but many of you have been asking about the lack of checkpoints in the game. The reason is naturally the fact that secrets are hard to try when you know of them. As a result of that, the game became a lot harder than I was trying to make it. Hopefully most of you stuck around to the end, but I get that you don't want to feel forced to play the same thing over and over. As such... I choose to implement a settings system that allows for a more relaxed way of playing the game. It's annoying that I didn't think of this before hand since the implementation was done in a heartbeat. Eitherway, feel free to try out the game with new settings added. Both the "hardcore" version and updated version are accessible through the game page.
The futureI'm also planning on adding more features to the game. The gameplay feels solid enough to make it more than just a compo game. I'll probably start tinkering with random levels and some roguelike features added to it, since it would be awesome to experience the feeling of not knowing the map myself.
Once again, thank you for a bunch of awesome games to play!
Then you should try our game "on track to party"! 🚆
Join Jeffrey the Giraffe in his adventures across the vast rail network, explore different stations and collect resources and train upgrades to make his dream of a party train true.
But watch out, every train journey only takes 10 seconds and you have to decide which path to take at the fast approaching junction!

Bill is in home office. Sounds relaxing? Well it is not with his boss, who expects Bill to check in with him every 10 seconds.
On top of that Bill has a long list of chores to be done. Will he able to get it all done while also not angering his boss?
Walk with [WASD]. You can carry and drop objects and write your boss with [E] or [Space].
