I'm streaming now :D
“Pikmin MOBA RTS thing feat. the lil guys” Edition

I have no idea of what I'm doing - either on the streaming or the development fronts 😅
(don't) come watch me at https://twitch.tv/wendelscardua

Uninvited tiny creatures? Let's shed some light on the situation.

Not sure why I'm doing that.
I'm sad no fly came in my flat despite my windows open all day. I didn't found bees while my break walking in a park. But I tried to imitate a bee woth the mouth and it's not that bad ! Probably will be the fallback solution.
I frogof the pen for my drawing tablet, so I can't make art until Monday :(

"Ah, roasted hobbit foot, a true delicacy! Crispy skin, tender meat, and those little hairs that lock in all the juice… Mmm, pure bliss. Marinated in herbs and roasted to perfection, it's the dish that takes any meal from simple feast to culinary masterpiece. If you haven’t tried a good hobbit foot yet, you don’t know what you're missing! Crunchy, tender… simply divine."

What a strange little creature, I sure hope there's not a ton of them and that they're not super talkative.

Back to the grind, come check it out on YouTube!

A dramatic meeting between two seals in my game about tiny creatures.

I promised myself this jam that I wouldn't go too hard. I have a tendency to work long hours without enough breaks, and stay up far later than I should. That's normal, but nowadays when my day job as gameplay programmer demands more and more of my energy, it's no longer something I can keep up! I feel so oooold.
The other restriction I promised myself was that I would not make a game with combat. I love action combat games, but they take a lot of manpower and I'm one programmer. Smartwilliam is helping me out as always, but we'd both agreed we'd try to make something more story-based and simple this time round.
We're going with a game about a man who keeps fireflies to light his way, and scare off the shadows that lurk:

Curses, Imgur embeds still don't work!

Day one is over. 90% done, 90% remaining, as usual :)
Good night and good luck.
welp... I just realized my "gameplay" is incredibly boring and got no idea how to amend that besides adding an addicting minigame to my game... besides that I scrapped the menu together so yippee (still need a title and more assets for it)
So nat'ralists observe: the flea
Hath smaller fleas that on him prey
And these have smaller fleas to bite 'em
And so proceed, ad infinitum.
I've been thinking about combining my efforts for Inktober and Ld56 since I'd love to take part in both challenges.
So here is my little shader with a skybox for my game

I can confirm that these are little guys and they're falling from the pipe
I made a couple of models, and also implemented several mechanics. Overall, I'm pleased with today. And yeah, you can buy a frog and other TINY creatures from the vending machine.

Things are finally happening, lets go. Almost half time.

Watch as I race against the clock, building an epic game! Whether you're jamming too or just want to hang out and see a pro indie dev in action.
