Aaaaaaaaah there's not much time left! Implementing all the mechanics is a little more time consuming than what we planned. We're still progressing with a good pace, so it should be ok at the end. Yesterday in the evening, since Bouteille was working on adding the hive-upgrading UI to the game, I took some time to create a draft of the future itch.io page and downloaded all the export template we'll need for godot.
It's time for me to make some coffee, we'll need it. I really have nothing to share for now, except for the meal we just had:

As you can see, there's a handheld recorder on my desk. That's because this morning I've recorded what we'll be the intro/menu theme. It includes some real instruments as well as... birds recorded from the window. The whole thing is a quite a random improvisation, but I guess we do what we can whith the time we have.
Hope you all have fun, a we wish you good luck for the last hours of the jam. And next we'll be able to play your games, it may be one of my favorite part of the ludum dare experience!
... create a new branch to refacto kind of the core mechanic ?
We said yes.
Let's go
This was my first time participating in a game jam. I have very little experience in game development—only about three months—so my main goal was simply to release any game at all so that in the future, as I continue to join jams, I can track my progress.
On the first day, when the jam just started, I was unsure of myself and even questioned whether I should participate. But I decided I had nothing to lose, so I gave it a shot. Within the first few hours, I realized that it was a good decision. I discovered that creating animations wasn’t as hard as I had thought, and I even started to enjoy the process. I felt satisfied with my progress because, initially, I had feared I wouldn’t be able to handle anything at all.
After gaining a bit of confidence, I began working on the core mechanics of my game. However, I encountered several problems that I didn’t know how to solve, and unfortunately, I couldn’t implement all the ideas I had in mind. By the end of the first day, my game didn’t even have gameplay yet. But I was determined to see it through, and on the second day, I started working with the belief that I could make it work.
Unfortunately for me, I had to step away from the project for about five hours, and because I lost so much time and had little experience in game development, my game didn’t turn out as exciting as I had hoped.
Despite this, I’m very glad I participated, and now I’m motivated to make sure my next game jam entry is much better. I’d also like to give a special shout-out to @xk-the-name for inspiring me to take part.

Phew, that sleepless night wasn't for nothing! I've finally added animations to the bugs and balanced the game. Hope you'll enjoy it - MiteBlaster is almost finished!

it's been 8 years since we first made a silly slime simulator for ludum dare. oh how the time flies...
feeling the crunch, but feeling optimistic we'll have something playable by the end of the jam 🤞
I mean, complete within the circumstances of a JAM, we used all the time we had, unfortunately it wasn't much for various reasons... you know what I mean
After an rushed journey, we’ve finally finished creating Tinygotchi Creatures! 🐾✨ It was an absolute blast bringing these little Pringeous to life, and we couldn’t be happier with the result! 🎮
We hope you have as much fun playing as we had making it. 💖 Dive in, take care of your Tinygotchis, and enjoy the chaos (if you dare 😉).
My personal score:

There are a few hours left, hopefully we'll make it in time
For this jam, we're making a fun game where you'll play as the Head Chef of Da Kitchen - Tiny Rat!
Customers will come to you and order one of the dishes. So you need to find the ingredients, cook them, and then throw the order to the customer to earn points.
This is my first time taking part in a Game Jam alone. Additionally it was my first time really using Godot 4. And after the Unity debacle it was worthwhile for me to check it out. And I am glad I did.
For me personally, Godot just kind of works like I would do stuff in an engine. Every time I have a concept or idea I want to do I look for the required stuff in Godot. And almost always it is exactly where I would expect them and how they work (roughly). I would assume that it is a combination of experience and affinity to software. What I noticed though was that it was so much easier for me to put together something I like (compared to other engines). It was such a joy to work with Godot when most of the time you ask yourself "Hmm where would I find that.." and 2-3 clicks later "Ah there it is".
We're done! Really happy with the overall outcome and final quality. Would love for people give it a go and let us know what you think.

Hey everyone! I've been working on some animations for our team, and there are just 10 hours left to finish them. I hope I can complete everything on time, and I really hope you all enjoy our game! This is our little protagonist!
And this is the person we need to save! (Though I feel like I'm about to collapse too, haha TT)

To bad. Didn't make enough progress on day one and really bogged myself down with futile shaderwork and endless redrawings on day two. I think the artstyle could have been really something great but it did cost too much time and the overall art-direction was a bit lacking.
I have enough experience to know that i wouldn't finish in time with anything i'd be happy with so i call it early today. Good luck to all the teams and devs that are still going on. This time i plan on giving feedback and playing some entries even without finishing.
If so I want to play and rate it! Please leave a comment with a link to your ludum dare game page and I will play it and leave feedback over the next couple of days.
I also made my game in Pico-8 and it's awesome to see what people using the same limits came up with in a weekend. Feel free to play and rate my game but don't feel you have to if it's not something you're interested in.
