I'm in !

Last time I wanted to do something with AI. After three weeks I came up with an animated pixel art character generator. Remember that one?

This time I want to try and include a trainable AI in the browser!

A shoutout: anyone else going to use AI in their project? Tell me in the comments

Tools: - jgame.js (https://github.com/borisvanschooten/jgame.js) - tinyspriteeditor (https://github.com/borisvanschooten/tinyspriteeditor) - animated character generator (http://tmtg.nl/ludumdare/ld53-charactergen/) - gimp - audacity - jsfxr (https://sfxr.me/) - LMMS (if I get round to music) - Pytorch and tensorflow.js

Good luck everyone!

I have a good feeling today - First playable demo

forklift01.png

Efter seeing the theme at midnight I got to bed and woke up with a fresh idea. A couple of hours later the first playable demo is already done. The games core idea is about working as a forklift operator in a small warehouse where the number of pallets are making the space limited. The instructions on the game is in swedish beacuse of brainfart but it´s simple, you steer with WASD or arrows and pickup/drop pallets with E. Give it a try if you like and if you want to help me out, come with feedback.

Try the game at https://ld54.fiskpinne.se

Happy with the game mechanics but ...

I'm making a city buider puzzle game. I'm very happy with my prototype, but the UI that gives feedback of where and what kind of block is placeable sucks. No matter what I try, it's kind of confusing for the player. Prototype_1.png

The core mechanics are starting to work in my game

I'm trying to use sprites from an old game to make all the basic mechanics quicker. And it seems like there's something fun already. Finding the path and attaching the parts is done. gif-3.gif

Jewel of Power concepts

Finally, I have an idea.

Now i'm doing the prototype. Hope it will works...

AI generated point and click adventure is coming along.

Showcase01_00000079.gif

Managed to get a decent set of mechanics together for a point and click adventure game. Sometimes things come together beautifully. Midjourney will make a perfect environment, photoshop will use generative fill to make exactly the thing I want, or copilot will intuit how I want an entire system to work from a few variables.

Other times, it fails miserably. Try to get Midjourney to understand certain abstract concepts like, "an open door" or "a character viewed from all sides" it's a bad time. Image to 3d is a joke. It just doesn't work.

For the most part. Copilot is pulling amazing weight. But It has terrible architecture sense. Good for solving small problems. Bad for solving big problems.

Lets go!

After getting stuck with a idea about packing a briefcase for way too long (never found a way to make the idea fun), I think I have it. 2 player "dodgeball" with ever increasing amount of balls and ever increasing fun!

Let's go!

Woke up after my brain would not let me sleep last night. Head full of ideas. This morning empty. So onto a fresh start! Coffee is made, breakfast is served, time to get creative!

Limited space in space

I'm in with Limited space in space!

An 2D Kerbal game were you launch rocket in space.

But space in space will be limited at the end

How many games?

Hi, does anybody know how much games there were for example on LD 53? Just asking.

First steps

The main part of the control is complete. I have pretty simple idea, but I will try to wrap it with some nice things ezgif-3-e684d655dd.gif

Sleep and doodles - done!

So i got some sleep and i think i have the general idea for the layout done:

Doodle.png

Brains tend to be kinda limited on what they can remember - so i thought why not make a game from that. Organize your brain in your daily live, collect memories and use them to interact with people, attend events and ace your tests at school. Try not to forget your friends names, the dates of events and try to ace your tests - otherwise your brain will shrink! If you remembered something long enough it gets transferred into your endlessly big long term brain, that way it will no longer need space in your limited short term brain.

You will play round based thru your days to use and collect memories, at night u can recall memories from or write them into your diary or you decide to sleep over them to slowly get them into your long term brain.

I hope i will be able to create a fun and challenging game with that idea, gonna start coding now! :>

Got a game idea finally

Finalyy came up with a game idea, here's a sketch:
