My first Ludum Dare and Game Jam is complete! It was a crazy experience to say the least, but I'm super happy with the final result! Like everyone, there are plenty of small fixes I would've love to have made, but for my first Jam, I'm super proud of myself!

Now that I've got some much needed sleep, I'm keen to see what awesome games everyone else has made during the Jam!

The good news is, my game made the frontpage of Newgrounds (again)!

The bad news is, people found a game-breaking issue. Fortunately, it was right at the end of the game and was easy enough to fix thanks to the error reports I was sent.

As ever, I have left the upload to the PICO-8 website untouched, so if you want to play the game in its original slightly-broken state, you can do so. Now that the game is stable, there won't be any more updates.

I was really excited too play and rate some games today but the rating options seem too be gone for me? Is anyone else experiencing this? Have they moved the rating somewhere else or will it only activate after the jam ends? I am really confused

Maybe I am just blind but I can't find the place to rate games that have been submitted. Where is it supposed to be?

Which also leads to being unable to get any karma and maybe losing track of a game I already played xD

Makes it a bit baffling since I see some submissions have karma already so it worked at some point but it broke?

You are a frog, so life is simple: jump on waterlilies, eat flies and play pool the way frogs play pool. Some of them, at least.

Played this one a lot as a child, and later when I got into game dev I sometimes wondered how hard it would be to implement something similar.

Just finished my game!

I feel like the fun factor of my game this time around is not as good as I would have hoped, but it was a good refresher on making such a project after not participating in any game jam in a while.

I made my latest game in MonoGame, which is quite a pain to work with for how it requires a lot of work to achieve the simplest of things, but I'm at least glad I got something done within the allotted time. I spent too much time on debugging that I wish I had more time to work on the music and more game features, but all in all, I'm proud I got something done.

Can't wait to try out all your games.

Last day of working on the game, most art is done, and I added a mini-game where you can combine a poem from the offered lines ~ With 4 lines and 4 options for each, there are 256 possible combinations!

Any suggestions you want to eat AS BARBECUE?
