Sailing a catamaran with your friends

gif.gif

This ludumdare @nothke and I decided to try to make an online-multiplayer game about cats sailing catamarans in the sea while trying not to capsize the boat!

We didn't get to finish many of the things we hoped but we got the boat physics and the online open-sea up and running. You can choose to join an existing boat or to launch your own!

We are working on a web version with some tweaks and added features that we will post on our itch, but for now, you can still join the boats play at our ld game page:

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/49/catamaran-cats

You can also follow Nothke or fonserbc on itch for upcoming updates!

Post your games and I will rate

Post your games and I will rate:

I will help your game to get out of Danger zone

If your games is under danger zone than leave your game link, I 10000% will play it.

(I request you to play each others game too as it will to help each other's game to get out of Danger zone faster

A few games that still need help

It'd be a shame to have these games lose their chance at a rating with all of the work that went into them, so I'd like to give them one more shoutout!

(if I played your danger-zone game and forgot to link it, I apologize-- link it below and I'll edit it in!)

Update:

Congratulations to the Crysterra, Osaka USA, Wayward Warlock, and Gecko's Chronicles teams for getting over the danger line! There's still a few more titles that need help, though!

Let's help a few more cool games get up and over the danger zone!

Originally I had a link to our own game here at the bottom, but with only one day left the focus should definitely be on the danger zone.

ReVolt 2.0 : Mirror Link

Following a misunderstanding... we added a mirror link so you can test the release.

Don't hesitate to send us your feedback, it will help us to come back even stronger for the next LD!

So here it is, ReVolt 2.0 ! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/49/revolt

Help needed: "ALCHEMY unSTABLE" - good idea to make serious game?

Hello!

We've made ALCHEMY unSTABLE game for the last LD. We had fun making, people had fun playing and a feedback is mostly positive. So we start thinking about making something serious out of it. BUT! We have a problem with progression and more long-lasting gameplay development.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQgXwHnktYU

If one came up with general idea of how to solve puzzles in this game, the gameplay becomes tedious and boring.

So here I am summoning a LD community collective mind to ask a couple of questions:

  1. How to create long term gameplay development? Any ideas for meta gameplay?
  2. Any ideas with the core gameplay? Controls change?
  3. Is it a good idea to create a serious game out of this concept?

Let's play Ludum Dare 49 - Part seven / Finale

Right before the rating deadline ends, here is the final video in my little let's-play-series. This has been a great experience for me. I started this series to get into video-making a bit, but also very much because I always loved seeing others play my games in previous LDs and wanted to spread this feeling a little. Hope you enjoy!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AwL0uxK5SI @FloGames, @guckstift, @frogman, @lllarso: Your games made it into the video :)

Come cut Van Gogh's ear in my art game

Ok, even although I treat it as humour, my game is actually serious and atmospheric.

Do you know I read more than 4000 pages of text from Van Gogh's letters in order to make this game? Check details in the post-mortem.
