Okay.
Just under three hours. Everything is done, except for levels and music. Right. C’mon. I can do this.

It was a long run, and I’m getting tired so I’m calling this the Revenge of the Goats.
Goals Assessment
Finishing a game! – done! Not exactly the theme I hoped for but awesomely fun nevertheless.
Fun and Experience – done! Learnt quite a few things, one of them was that I need to project my views better.
Use what I accomplish this weekend as the base for a bigger and amazing game – Maybe if I get an actual artist, heh.
Features not implemented
Armies, I mean I wanted to have ramming goats throwing themselves at humans holding pikes! But that’s way too epic for my drawing skills and to do in 48 hours with my current experience.
Here’s my submission – Dracula’s Treasure, I hope you guys enjoy it! I started off this jam with an idea for a “Dracula Dating Sim” which would place Dracula in high school, where he would try to win the heart of some incredibly stereotypical high school girl by dressing as an incredibly stereotypical high school boy. All in all, I don’t think I knew enough about dating sims, dialog trees, or high school to get it playable. Here’s a peek at what I had gotten done by Saturday morning:
So on Saturday afternoon I set out on making a new game based loosely on Flicky and City Connection where you play as Dracula trying to protect your valuables from impending eviction:
Anyway, I wanted to do something a little different – and even though this is closer to my M.O., I tried a lot of new things and learned quite a bit.
Great LD! The theme was great (even though I’m not advanced enough to tackle some of the better ideas I had for it) and the company was great!

I’ve finally completed my game!
It is available here at laguz.us ( my webpage ).
There are Flash (web), Windows, and OSX versions. I HIGHLY suggest playing one of the desktop versions for better performance.
You can find the official LD25 page here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-25/?action=preview&uid=7685
Yup, I’m finally done with it. It’s been a productive weekend, yet I feel I’ve been kinda lazy today. Nonetheless, I managed to create a decent game, so I’m happy with it. Now let’s see what the rest think of it…. Do you?

Well here we are, about 3 hours till its over! I think what I have done is pretty nice for my first Ludum Dare 😀
Last little bit I have done since last update was I redid some of the tile textures as well as the character models. Now it looks much better than before.

Final version! With shading!
Considering making more levels, possibly more hazards, but for now, for this competition, I think it’s case closed ^.^
Thanks everyone! Hope you all fair well!

BACKSTORY:
You are the most villainous dog ever. And all you want to do is pee on stuff.
Do it!

GAMEPLAY:
Click and hold your mouse where you want the dog to go to. Once close to fire hydrant, he’ll pee on it. Score a bunch of points by not getting wet from the hydrant while you are peeing.
ABOUT:
This is an HTML5 game I made with Cocos2d-HTML5. It’s the first time I used the platform. Other tools used: Audacity, Inkscape, CocosBuilder.
Tested on OSX 10.6.8, 10.8.2; Firefox 17.1, Chrome 23.0.1271.97
BUGS/THINGS I WANTED TO DO/ETC:
* Sound seems to only work in Chrome.
* A little bit laggy (especially due to sound effect- see no sound version below).
* Collision detection is a little off.
* Dog can also remain 100% on the hydrant (collision detection doesn’t stop you from moving).
* The dog only pees in one direction.
* The hydrants continuously spin, but you get hurt regardless if the water is facing you or not when you pee.
* No end game condition (you can have negative health).
* No way to mute sound effects / only 1 sound effect.
* No music.
* Only fire hydrants (no other entities to pee on).
OVERALL:
* I liked it a lot. If you read any of my blog posts, you’ll see I had a major meltdown. In fact, on the first day, the only thing I had done was the different sprites in Inkscape. Everything I had to start from scratch… so I’m pretty pleased where I ended up, all things considered.
Well, it’s after 11pm here in the UK, and I still have virtually nothing to show. I guess I now have various graphics that can be cycled through with the ‘p’ key, and a moveable character, but that’s it – the problem was, OpenGL wasn’t working for me, so I lost all of the first day (almost, anyways) and I lost half of today because I went to see the Hobbit and then ate at a restaurant for dinner (read: not my idea, although the film was great!)
I’ll still upload it anyways, although I’m expecting last place (Wooden Spoon, anyone?), and if you can be bothered to rate it whatsoever, I’ll be really happy (even with all one-stars!)
Anyways, may the best game win (certainly not mine) –

Huzzah! This Ludum Dare I created my first ever Unity game called ‘The White Rabbit’. Really had a fun time messing around in Unity, excited to learn and experiment more in the future. But for now, here’s my game:

And here’s another shot of screen:
Congratulations to everyone who participated in LD 25, looking forward to checking out your games!
So the thing is im kind of happy i finished a game because after the first one i didnt want it to just be a one off. So that was an achievment now if i keep going i can say i have done every LD since my first :p. And it was my first scrolling game ever. On a side note of achievments… we(the team) won 52-8 against Guildfordians which is good to know we can comfartably beat one of the worst in this league ;D. However there were a few pointers to improve on next time. They are that i should plan time for making more content so it isnt 2 levels -_-. I should also spend the few days before working out how LWJGL appletloader works on dropbox instead of drawing 😀 mwhaha yes i made a simple engine tried for 30mins to get it online (appletloader) but then said hey ill do it on sunday when i have tonnes of time after finishing my 5000mb game ;). So i feel very bad after reading that guy who wanted everything online or something because if id have spent a whole day working it out maybe i would have a web link instead of just LINUX/MAC/WINDOWS. But hey ho html is boring if you know almost none compared to glsl and lindtt rabbits ;D.
here it is, my game as you can the 6 supposed enemies and levels werent created instead only 2 levels but there is always next time. And wow the background is horrible… game dev art …………………
The first time is officially over. I am no longer a virgin.
It has been an intense 2 days but I’ve learnt alot and had fun! And best of all, I was able to deliver a game
It might not be the funniest one you’ve ever played but at least it works (to my knowledge) 😉
Anyways, check it out HERE
A little screenshot for you
Cheers and good nite!

I think I have everything working in time. Maybe I have forgotten something but, booya, nobody will find that hopefully.
Now its time to get some sleep

I am super excited! Well, as much as I can be when sleep-deprived and braindead!
This is my first ever Ludum Dare submission and it’s been a brilliant experience. I’ve learned so much in the last 2 days and will definitely try to take part in the next LD!
My game page is here (with a proper write-up, controls etc). I hope you enjoy it!

Good luck to everyone still working on their games! Can’t wait to play lots of them! 😀
So after having to go and do a lot of Christmas shopping today I got some time to work some more.
Still to do:
