Well im in China, and the first thought came to me was
One Child Policy?

One Child Policy?
So I’m gonna try and properly participate in this one, instead of lurking ’round and doing some sightseeing like I did last time. My experience with game dev, well, it barely exists. Oh and I’m from The Netherlands, so this comp starts at about 2AM. Anyway, good luck to everyone!
My tools:
Javascript, no libraries (<– I hate the premade libraries, though I might fail because of this)
Photoshop for pixel art (Not really artsy, but it’ll do)
No clue about the music or whatsoever. Yay.
Well, my team mates are busy so I’ll be entering solo this time round! May the great Platypus watch over me.
Anyway, the tools I’ll be using are as follows:
And some form of tile map editor if I need one.
Good luck to everyone entering!
Here is what i’ll be using for Ludum Dare this time, it’s not much just a collection of classes written in dart, use at your own risk.

My holidays have finally come after working on Decromancer (shameless plug) for the last year without much rest. My weapons of choice:
The final round themes are all pretty interesting, can’t wait to get started! Maybe I’ll try stream myself working hmmm….
This is my third time joining the fun. Going to use the following tools:
– Unity3D
– Gimp
– SFXR
Still need to get some healthy food and drinks. Will get those when I take my first break.
Good luck to everyone!
Just a quick post to say I’ll be using Gamemaker along with SFXR to make a game this compo. Really looking forward to pushing myself creatively. Good luck to everyone!
It’s my first time participating in a LD48, even though I’ve been meaning to do it for a long time. But other stuff (school assignments, family reunions, etc.) always came up. Hopefully none of that will show up to bother me this time.
Since I’m an old fashioned guy, my tools will be:
I expect the most difficult part of this will be coming up with a good idea and then not losing hope midway through the competition. Hope I can at least make something playable, even if it’s not super fun or innovative.
I wasn’t participating for quite a while now, but now I can finally do a game over the weekend.
I decided to try something new this time so I got familiar with the SDL library and ready to go, my tool are:
c++ – visual studio 2012
SDL – library
Gimp – graphics
pixitracker / sfxr – sound
Goal – make a playable game.
Good luck everybody.
Using Flash, maybe with Starling.
But that’s fine: for this time around, I’m going to shake things up and try up ruby. It’s the very first time I use ruby. Ever. While this is probably gonna bite me hard down the road, that’s all right because I’m taking advantage of the Ludum Dare precisely to get a grip on ruby and learn it a bit.
As for a framework, Gosu will be the poison of choice for this weekend, let’s hope it’s good and mellow.
I’ll be assisted by a few friends, my sister for graphxes (such pretty!) and by my cousin for sound and music (such sound and music! such wow!).
This is my first time entering! I’m doing LD48 this time.
Gonna use Flixel, Photoshop, and either Pxtone or Famitracker!
I’m totally gonna get stopped up in the coding stages…

Hey guys, I’m here again!
This time I’ll rock!!! I know!!! 😀
Good Luck to everyone!
Dismissed a family meeting but I can finally attend Ludum Dare (I had to skip it two times already because of the aforementioned! Now it’s their turn to move aside)
First timer here!
I’ll probably use my ol’ dear Multimedia Fusion 2 but.. maybe not, maybe I’ll switch to Unity3D, depending on what I want to do.
..oh, and obviously sfxr for sound effects!
Good luck everyone and I hope to have some fun!
So high school’s shifting into full gear as we’re heading towards finals. As that is, I believe that I can spare a weekend for this. I’ll be using Unity3d with javascript, blender, photoshop and maybe some other stuff. No idea what I’m gonna come up with, just that it’s going to be disappointingly unfinished.
Woo! I’m going to give it a go!
Tools: Gamemaker Studio, GraphicsGale and Audacity. I have FL Studio as well, if I have time to bash out a music loop!
I can’t wait to get started and OH GOD I’M NOT READY. I CAN’T BREATHE. SOMEONE HELP.

It feels good to participate in another LD. The tools I will be using will be:
Notepad++
the GIMP
Ren’Py
Audacity (if I use sound)
There is maybe a ~5% chance that I will ditch everything and use Unity or make a DOOM wad. I can’t really see that happening though.
This time I will be less lazy than last time, which happens to be a very simple task.

This will be my third Ludum Dare personally, but this time I’ve talked most of my compatriots at Fringe Games into joining the cause! 😀
We cut our teeth as a team earlier this year on the BaconGameJam (you can check out our entry here😀 ) and we’re all super excited to do the gamejam thing again!
Our team is:
Ray – Project Management
Rusty (Me) – Programming, Pixel Art
Malice O’Conner – Visual Design
Ryan64K – Music
DJWildebeest – Additional Programming, Sound Effects
Saffron – Art, Animation
We’ll be using Multimedia Fusion as our primary IDE with art handled primarily in sprite something and adobe photoshop. Music will be made with a variety of hardware synths and midi software and mixed in ableton, and sound effects will probably be dealt with through a combination of sfxr, bfxr and various synthesizers. Any changes to this plan will be noted in future posts 😉
First time participating, just two devs. We’ll be using the following:
Unity or Flash, depending on the theme/core mechanics.
Photoshop/Illustrator for art.
Good luck everyone!
