Bye bye love, bye bye happiness.
I’m in.
I’m in.
I’ve created this wallpaper for you guys but honestly I hope I won’t need to draw any more snowmans during the jam 😀 And yes, I am in for the second time. My last LD was #23, so it’s been a while, but I am really excited this time and I am looking forward to it. The compo begins in less than 5 hours and I’ve had a lot of work this week so I guess it’s time to go sleep now.
I’ll be using:
» Stencyl as the game engine
» Photoshop for graphics
» GarageBand on iPad for music
» BFXR and Audacity for sounds
See you tomorrow!

Last LD was my first, and I barely finished on time. This time, my goal is to have time for better art than basic geometric shapes and some music. I’ll be sticking with what I know on the programming side and trying different tools for art and music.
Tools:
Tools
I scraped together some base-code from a currently ongoing project and removed the game-specific parts. Now It’s just an example with a chipmunk2d body dropping on a plane.
It’s C and Guile. I’ve got no Idea how to bulid guile on windows, might find it out in 2 days.

By the way, I already made a ☃-themed game for a LD-warmup 2 years ago.
You can <play it here> in your browser.

use ← and → to turn the bar and package some nice gifts like sweets, candy, magnets, money & human organs.
Given that I can think of a quick idea that I like, I might join in. In other words…
This is the worst theme ever. How could snowmen not win? The majority of LD games are already one screen. This just isn’t even a theme.
If I do, I’ll be using java/libgdx.
My First :O
Engine: Game Maker
Graphics: Photoshop

While writing this, We just learned the official theme but we drew a few more constraints for this session, and here is what came out :
LEVELLING (as core game mechanic) / INDIRECT CONTROLS (as controls obviously) / and ONLY TRIANGLES (as display limitation)
And we can now add the official one; ENTIRE GAME ON ONE SCREEN …
Ok, we wanted hardcore, let’s get hardcore !
Once again, we’d enjoy to hear from you if you chose to pick additionnal constraints too !
Let’s get to wo(sleep)rk,
happy LD!
This time I will use Unreal Engine 4
No biguidi No flagada it will be insane!
I will use my Twitch channel : http://www.twitch.tv/megadamage
Good luck and have fun!
Getting excited for the compo 😀
Will be using the standard fare from my laptop, as my desktop is still packed away:
My main focus is to make something simple, but well designed, and hopefully complete feeling. I want to keep the scope as small as possible and deliver something interesting.
Good luck, all! Let’s hope the theme isn’t Christmas related!
Yes, I’m ready for my fourth Ludum Dare !
With tools :
Program : ActionScript 3
Graphism : Gimp
Audio : I don’t really know for this one
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE !
Hi everyone !
I’ll participate using unity and sketchup.
I hope we will create great games.
Good luck everyone !
Hi guys, I’m in the Jam for the first time alone, I’m trying to check out what I can do.
I’m planning to use these tools:
– Unity as engine.
– Photoshop for graphics.
– Sfxr and Audacity for sound.
– www.fakemusicgenerator.com for music.
Using my own simple 2D C++ engine/framework – math utilities, loads images, sounds, xml, etc.
Here’s a link to the complete source: http://www.eiserloh.net/ld31/GypsyEngine-2014.12.05.zip (<2 MB)
Includes only placeholder “test” assets (test image, test sound, text XML) and a simple built-in font.
Cheers,
-sq

Hello there!
I’m entering the Ludum Dare for the second time, all by myself for this one! (You can play our LD28 Jam here : Click me!)
Here are the tools I’ll use:
Prog. : Flashpunk on Flashdevelop (AS3)
Graph. : Adobe Photoshop CS6, maybe Illustrator if I’m inspired
Music & Sounds : Don’t know yet, I’ll probably check what you guys are using and figure it out (bouh! bad preparation!)
I’ll be streaming with some friends of mine who are entering the Jam contest, feel free to come and say hello : Me too!
And that’s all, I wish you good luck and can’t wait to see the awesome games you’ll make!
Oh boy. Kinda nervous. Here goes nothing.
It’s been a while since I last attempted a Ludum Dare. Given my lack of gamedev output so far this year, this seems like a nice opportunity to make something about it.
I’ll be using:
Haxeflixel for coding.
Paint.NET for art
I’ll probably end up using sounds captured from a mic 😛
I’m kind of indifferent to most of the themes, but I’m guessing the snowman thing is going to win. We’ll see.

I’m like, a newb, I really have no idea what im doing here but… I’ll try. Gl to everyone
My big constraint: it will be a 386 real mode DOS game. The target platform will be DosBox, but it should work fine in any DOS system. More so, there will be no external assets. It will be a single COM file with all assets embedded. COM files are limited to be 64kB, so that’s not much room at all!
