Let’s Rock
I’m in! i’m really exited because last time was the first time I was able to finish a game on time(48H).
I will use the awesome Haxe language with flixel as my base code.
Gimp for graphics.

Posting some half-finished Untiy utility stuff I have laying around that I will probably use. Probably not of use to anybody in its current state, but there is some stuff there for 2D sprite animation, cam shake function, and a horrible-to-use-but-kind-of-handy thing for placing aligned objects.

I’ll be using Unity. Also may be streaming. Good luck, all.

I think this is like my 11th LD now yea whateva I’m losing count eat your veggies sweetheart

a trendy “”Info-Graphic”” to guide your mouth from the comfort of your very own Personal Internet Web Computer System
In a lot of ways, this is a fresh start. Even re-brandabandled my name to a shorter form. Think of LD31 as the pilot of my “Ludum Dare: Season Two”.

What if I were brand new to jams? How did I approach games back then? Of course these days I have Flashfunk, so this isn’t some sort of return to the dark ages of Pygame. It’s more about making something technically simple but innately fun to play around with. I recently rediscovered my love for simulation/resource management/sandbox style things, so you might be warranted to expect an entry like that. Something with basic rules and lots of possible outcomes to explore, without some sort of predefined puzzles ruining your fun.
Or my fun. If I’ve learned something, it’s that overthinking game systems ruins the development process as well as the actual gameplay. At least I have other work on this weekend too, which means LD is gonna be genuinely a way of having fun instead of some serious business that leads to an unfulfilling game.
Thanks work I love work bring me more woRK TO DO ON A FRIDAY EVENING FUCK AAAAAAAAAAAEAE
I’m in! Unfortunately my friends over at Unorthodox Games can’t join me for the Jam so I’ll have to enter the compo with my amazing (Read atrocious) programmer art skills!
Tools:
Language – C# or AS3
Engine – Either Unity or Flash develop,
Art – Paint.NET
Sound – Audacity and BFXR
Can’t wait to see some of the amazing games that will get made over the weekend!
After more than a year, I finally found some time to participate in this LD.
This time I will go with a game genre that a lot of people hate and don’t consider a “videogame” (sadly): Visual Novel! Well.. I’d rather call it a graphic adventure but whatever…
Story will be based on the theme, I’ve been working on my own idea of a VN engine similar (better!) to ren’py and in the last few days I’ve been actively working on it.
The engine is free and open source (although still incomplete-ish). I will be using it as a base and I will most likely end up extending it and finishing it (somewhat) over the weekend.
You can find it here if you’re interested: Novelette.
Cheers!
I’ll be programming in Java and Score, using my own libraries Artifakt and Curl.
For anyone who’d like to know:
If all goes well, I plan to write my entire Ludum Dare entry in Score to prove it can handle it (and to stress test it because I really need to do that before I implement much else).
Artifakt and Score are on github (Atmosphere and Score).
I will also be using Curl, my simple wrapper around Artifakt that allows Score to directly access Artifakt cleanly.
The most recent versions of these can be downloaded (as jars and native files) here.
Another year, another Ludum Dare
This years tools:
I’m hacking on some base code and getting a feel for Play-Clj this evening – results can be found here: https://github.com/gtrogers/play-clj-basecode
good luck!We are a team of two, me (code code code!) and HJ (art), and probably a friend of mine will do the music, don’t know yet, good luck everyone!
This will be my first Ludum Dare
I’m trying to save all my witty ideas for the LD so I’ll keep this post short and plain.
I’ll be participating with my buddy Shigure. Good luck to everyone and have fun 😀
It will be the eight time I compete. I’m going to write a live blog like I always did which can be found here.
This time I’ll be using InCourse® GameCreator again. A webbased game engine developed by Islandworks and dubbed ‘the GameCreator’. It’s a webbased game engine with an easy and no-coding editor. I’ll be using the Ludum Dare promo code for more statistics. I’m excited!
OS of choice: Windows 8.1
Game engine of choice: InCourse 3.5 – the Gamecreator
Graphics: Photoshop or Illustrator
Audio: Audicity & Anvil.
Hardware: Wacom cintiq (Pen tablet), Space Explorer (3d Mouse), M5 mouse, dual monitors etc.
I’ll post a “How did I do it” on the end as I did the last times.
Other year’s entries include but are not limited to: World Alone, Be the Villain and The Dragon Journey.

And a lot more! Visit my live blog during the event!
Good luck fellow Ludum darers!

looks like i’ll actually have free time to participate in this dare, it’ll be my first one that i’m planning to actually submit a jam entry for, so its exciting!
i’m going to work solo, but i do have some artist/designer friends in my circle who might help me with this.
i’ll be trying out Rust with SFML, instead of C++ with SFML/OpenGL/SDL2; paint.net for graphics, and sfxr/bfxr for sounds. i’ll try my best to stream all of my work at www.hitbox.tv/blockers too! oh, and i’ll be using GVim for editing
a little late for this post, but i was lazy :X
P.S, good luck to everyone else submitting for the first time too, and everyone in general!
I probably won’t do much this time, but I thought I’d give it a try.
Tools are GIMP for graphics, Code::Blocks for coding, and here’s my base code:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5qVKpn45OqtUG5kTXhBa05Kd00/view?usp=sharing
I will be entering the compo for the second time using:
Unity 3D
photoshop/illustrator
possible blender
still need to find something for sound/music!
Good luck to everyone!
Izzy
Hi,
Obligatory “We’re in” post!
We are three, we are from Bordeaux, France and this time we’re going to use :
Ableton live for music (@ynck_33)
Creative Cloud for graphic assets. (@sentsu_actu)
Unity as game engine (@Thomas_Baudon)

Our previous LD was “From The Under” : http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-29/?action=preview&uid=28466

This time we hope to do something awesome!
Okay! Have fun everyone!
Hi ! I’m in for the third time for this Ludum Dare ! My previous submissions weren’t great games but I always have a lot of fun doing this and receiving nice feedback and stuff
I will be using :
good luck !
I’ve already posted that I’m, in a few days ago (entering the compo), but just wanted to declare
my base code here:
https://github.com/nofxboy1234/LD_Basecode
It’s a skeleton with a very basic menu, and a square that can jump :).
I will be using:
Lua
Love2d
Tiled
Aseprite
BFXR
Sublime Text 3
I have never completed a game, so I’m going to give it my all to have an actual playable game at the end,
however basic it might be, thanks to Ludum Dare motivation!
It helps knowing that thousands of others are working on games at the same time as you
I will be waking up at 03:45am tomorrow morning as the comp starts at 04:00am
for me in South Africa.
Good luck to everyone!
Nice to meet you!
Hi all!!
here i am as well for my first first Ludum Dare ever, better late than never…
Unity will do the hard job, just hope to find a good idea and be able to work out something that at least looks like a game…
Good luck everyone!
It’s my second time doing the Ludum Dare jam and will be doing it solo again
I will be using:
Unity
Blender
GIMP
Good luck every one!
Despite a huge number of things conspiring to stop me (including the fact that I should really deal with the fact that my car was broken into), I’m totally in for the compo!
I’ve never made a game in this length of time before, so I’m going to have to fight myself (maybe literally fist-fight myself) to stop from making a sprawling zelda-style action adventure game, and instead try something that will help me learn one or two disciplines that I’ve not gotten to try before (like local multiplayer or dialogue or comedy or something). “Good luck with that,” he said to himself, sarcastically.
Tools I’ll be using:
I’m fresh off the last jam I did, 7DFPS, and I was happy with what I produced there, so I’m hopeful I can produce something that I’m happy with here as well!
Good luck to everyone!
