Our progress

Hi everyone,

We have almost all the mechanics implemented, now we are adding some content. Unfortunatelly, there isn’t much time left, so we don’t know if we can complete the game on time. We will try to improve some graphics and add sounds, keep yours fingers crossed, so we can make it!

Here is one of our rooms, soon the secret will be revealed!

Good luck for anyone still with work in progress.

Very little progress

Monday got in the way – hoping to be able to put something up before the deadline. Managed to reskin parts of the UI.

Omni-Bot lives!

My god that was a fun weekend!

So I decided to use Construct 2. It’s been sitting on my PC unused for a while now after buying it on special offer/a whim. After a solid weekend’s Jam, I’m really impressed with it’s speed, stability, simplicity and power. The event system is pretty damned good once you understand a few concepts and workflows. I found that I settled into a zen-like state of being, adding new events to get what I wanted, working! (always nice!).

I never actually got around to actually replacing my awful placeholder art. I decided that it was much more fun to try and turn it from a simple shooter to a damned MOBA/RTS. I was very happy with how quick it was to crank out the placeholder artwork from within Construct’s editor. Some quick paint dabs, some fills and some collision editing and Bob’s your uncle!

SFXR was solid and dependable. Very quick to generate ALL of my sound effects. Thanks again Ludum Dare community! 😀

Itch.io must have been 3 minutes from registration to actually saving my game’s page with everything I needed uploaded. Bloody amazing!

Design-wise, I started out with the idea of an advanced combat drone that could transform into:

  • A slow, heavy Tank
  • A fast, weak Jeep
  • A manoeuvrable Helicopter
  • A super speedy Jet
  • A sneaky submarine
  • A McBoatyMcBoatface

That quickly boiled down into the Tank/Plane combo which you’ll find in the game. Some brutal scoping nice and early, saved me from giving up halfway through Saturday afternoon!

A couple of things that could naturally evolve as next steps:

  • Better Ai for the Plane units
  • An Ai drone Tank/Plane
  • Splitscreen multiplayer
  • Upgradable abilities and powers
  • More unit types
  • A dynamic and evolving city environment

Anyhow, a great Ludum Dare! Really enjoyed it!

“Sticky Keys”

Playing through the entries now and finding several have chosen to use the “Shift” Keys on windows as main actions or controls… I bet a lot of people are seeing the windows sticky keys prompt! Remember you only need to disable this once but it is a good bet that many are doing this right now.

Sneak Peak to our game mechanic

I forgot to upload this gif with the lastest update!

Our game is about Liborio the Sorcerer, a master of the disguise is prisoner in a castle. He could escape thanks to his ability to copy the body of any life form that is unconscious -shocked, sleeping or dead-.

I need name for my simple game

Hello, I made this simple game, but I am looking for a name.

A quick update from Infinity Access, showing the player shifting from Surfer to Protester.

In this game you need to spend your GB’s  of internet but before you run out of GB’s you need to go to the streets protest for more internet.

Hi everyone!

This is my first time at Ludum Dare, well, my first time in any Gam Jam Competition. After a lot of thinking, coffee and headache, finally here is my game. It’s simples and need to be improved in many aspects, but I hope it be enjoyable. Initially, I would submit it at Compo and even thought about give up, but after all I’m so happy to have finished it! 😀

Quality dev tools…

So this is a Ludum Dare solution unity editor script to define different areas of the map… It’s quite… crowded.

Simple! Easy to understand! Everything you need!

Adding all-important context!

An opening cutscene!  Adds some context to the game and describes how to play.

WolfBit: How many pixels does it take for tension building?

Hello guys!

Our team has decided to follow not only one, but two jams in this weekend: LowRez an LudumDare.

And that means one more theme restriction for our game: In this case, its the resolution: only 64 pixels.

I mean, look at the size of the fella over here:

(Oh Boy.)

Old legends say that Team Silent limitations in processing hardware, at that time, forced them to insert a really thick fog in the first Silent Hill Games – you all know how it went out, friends. With that in mind and inspiration in our hearts, I present you our latest experience.

WolfBit. Play if you dare it.

WE MUST GO TO THE WOODS.

WE MUST GET RID OF THE DEVIL.
