Less than 5 hours to go! This is madness

Hello everyone, this is my first jam, so, i’m very exited about this. Before get back to work, i want to share some screen shots and the gamejolt link (dev-log).
Myself and my buddy Mike Relth began working on a game about being a young woman who, using only the ancient technology of a sling and stone, is defending her village from rampaging cyclopes. <— Yup, that’s plural for cyclops. Weird eh?
Anyways, check it out the PC build HERE if you want to play. Not sure how much I’ll be able to work on it tomorrow, but hope to get it a bit more done.
You can see what it looks like HERE.

Working really hard to make this look as good as possible. Also for some reason my first post never got accepted. Weird.
Hi to all jammers, my first Ludum Dare here, would love to share how I’m going so far, but I do not have any ADD MEDIA button visible. I believe I need to proceed with a first post to gain access to it. So here I am…
Heres my progress so far! You guys are making some amazing looking stuff!
End of day 1 promo video, glad to say progress is coming along nicely. I’m knackered now, off to bed now, any name suggestions are appreciated
It’s ok…
I have two levels built. After you complete the first level it will switch to the second level in about 8 seconds. I need feed back if that is too long… I wanted to give the player enough time to read the fact before switching levels on them. Please check it out and give feedback. Thanks!

It is “The Mighty Stick”. The game is about surviving with the first ancient technology. Monolith is also in the game. The main idea it is planetary golf simulator but with some surprises.

And some screenshots:

We are a french team of 5 game developers / players and this is our very first Ludum Dare ! We just hope we’ll have a playable game we can show to our friends and parents at the end of the Jam so they can know how we spend our holidays !
Our team :
Alexandre – Music Composer
Anna – Programmer
Mickaël – Programmer
Quentin – Game Designer
Théo – Graphic Designer
Mowgli – Cat
Lucky – Cat
We are using :
Game Engine – Unity3D with MonoDevelop
Music – Ableton Live
Graphics – Adobe Photoshop
Game Design – Pen & paper
Today we woke up at 3AM to check the theme and now we have a pretty good idea of what the game will look like. It has to do with ancient technologies (obviously) and the end of the world…
To be continued !

Hey guys, tss my first Ludum Dare. Wasn’t able to start yesterday as I had a boardgame night, but I hit the ground running around 3 pm GMT and spent most of it trying to program a hookshot system, but its quite janky.
Primarily an artist/animator as programming isnt something I enjoy. (The sprite is just something I was using as a place holder btw!)
Happy Ludum Dare guys.
Here’s a gif!

Unmistakably shot himself toward the stars!
A launching game about an especially bored Chinese and his massive rocket, the prototype(some squares gliding) is nearly finished, and we also got some art done.

He’s staring right at your soul.
So far so good, we expect to get something playable for tomorrow and maybe a demo for you to play.
Thank you for you support guys and lets have a great LD!!!
Our Current Progress for a space, adventure game.
Hello everyone! This is me and my freinds first ludum dare. We are really pumped and we have a good idea, even though we have only worked around about 6 hours. We are making a pyramid pussel game with greece / egyptian mythology! Good luck everyone!
Programming to me usually means, think about the problem, sketching it out, thinking some more, doing some tweaks, coming up with neat ideas and succinct methods. As an LD virgin however I have discovered that the compo is madness.
Slap in some code, does the result look ok? No? Just throw in some more magic numbers. OK now? No, but it doesn’t crash so bugger it. Is there a switch statement in Lua? What??? Now you tell me?? Slap in 40 nested if statements instead. Sorted.
Taking a 5 minute break atm because some text won’t line up with some other text but I can’t think why because my head is full of pixels and a funny farty sounding effect.
Help me!
Just completed my 4th LD compo entry. As fun as always and for me the most interesting part is to force myself to complete something in a very limited timeframe and try to make a complete game with an end goal. In the future I would like to focus a bit more on improving the graphics.
If you’d like to send a laser beam at this guy then head over to my page and check it out. I’m looking forward to play all the awesome games as usual.

Woa last image before posting the game, here you go! 5 hours left gogogo!!!
Text is just provocative I guess

Transition between text scene and battle scene
AHHHH finished my silliy game ^^. yeah.
