Blog posting is up! It's starting to feel like LD!
Despite being crammed up with end-of-semester work, I'm going to join the jam for my third time. Who needs sleep anyway, right?
Team Scripta is in! Myself and @caramelcode are ready for our third LD! We're also SUPER excited to have an amazing composer joining us, Veuskemini! We've been preparing mentally, let's do this!
4 hours to go- I'm hyped!
Let's do this thing!
Using the usual tools for me: Unity, Visual Studio, Paint.net, Sfxr and Bosca Ceoil.
I'm hoping that the chosen theme is a good one.
First time doing the jam. Good luck and Have Fun Everyone!
I am in. This is my second ludum dare. I will try my best.
I am speaking here for my team, which is pretty big :). 10-15 people from Pixeland discord server will be on the same team including Kenney.
We will be using: - Unity3D - Blender, SkechUp - Paint.NET, Photoshop
We are looking forward to participating and seeing what others come up with.
Whatsup guys. Small indie dev from the US, joining my first LD :) Very excited.
Heres some programs i'll be using..
Engine - Unity
Language - C#
3D - Blender
2D - PS & Gimp
Audio - FL 12
Good luck!
I enjoyed my first Ludum Dare (37) and I'm ready for 38! I'll be away for a bit on Saturday but for the most part, I think my schedule is fine.
I plan to use GameMaker Studio, paint.net, and bfxr/sfxr.
Good luck to everyone else participating! :D
Been a while since I've done a ludum dare, so I guess the 15th anniversary is a good time to come back. Will most likely be building another NES game. Will be using the boilerplate code here: https://github.com/cppchriscpp/nes-c-boilerplate
Additional tools: - VS Code - Tiled (probably) - NES Screen Tool - Fceux/nintendulatordx - Famitracker - nesbox (web-based emulator. Yes, it's flash. Sorry. :()
Looking forward to a crazy weekend!
After many years of procrastrinating I'm finally doing it.
Engine: Unity
IDE: Visual Studio or Atom
Music/Effects: Mulab / Sfxr
Art: Gimp / Paint
I've joined about 50 game jams in my life, so I've come to know my abilities and limitations. With these in mind:
I hope to design something small. Something low on content, but rich in fun.
I plan to do AS LITTLE WORK AS POSSIBLE, and will take shortcuts wherever possible.
I am going to have fun, get lots of sleep, eat well, and go for a hike with friends outside.
These policies will help my enoy the weekend, but they will also lower the likelihood I even get into the top 100 games.
I am not here to win, I'm here to dive in and delight in the flow of raw creativity and inspiration.
I CAN'T WAIT!
What the title says.
I managed to complete my first Dare, failed to finish the second, and am curious as to which side I’ll fall on this time out.
Godspeed gamejammers! May your minds be full of inspiration and your mugs full of caffeine!
Oh man, this theme sucks! Oh wait, I'm a bit early on that. Ahem.
I'm in for my 5th LD. Using my custom C++ game library, Visual Studio, Notepad++, Photoshop, Audacity, FL Studio 12 and who knows what else. I typically come into these with a gameplay idea I want to experiment with. Not this time, so it will be interesting to see how things go.
Good luck to everyone! Remember, get something you can submit ASAP, then focus on polish and additional gameplay elements. It really reduces the worry of not having something to submit at the end. Also, sleep. Get as much sleep as you can get. Oh, and have fun too.
I'm super stoked to participate in LD 38! I'll be working with a friend who still needs to make an account...
Anyway, we'll be using:
Let's do this!
Hey we are in for Ludum Dare 38. Second time participating in team and third time for me in total. I am most excited for the weekend.
Our tools will be: - libGDX (Java Framework) - Pyxel Edit for graphics - abundant-music.com for generating music and LMMS for polishing it - bfxr for sound effects - other tools we'll notice we need
