transitions are now working!
People have been asking about it and we still don't see anything.
Day 2 is going well ... can see the finish line in sight ... plenty more coding & juicing to be done tho!

Here's how it looks:

But it was fun :grinning:

Building the editor for these little areas directly into the game itself was probably the best idea I've had so far. I can design both the stages and set up interactive tiles using a rudimentary instruction set, complete with conditional instruction jumping.
It's a little late, but, I'm in =) I'll be using pico-8 for this.
Now me and @bytegrove finally have some progress on the level design. Stay tuned for some graphics soon :)

lol nah jk but the repair system works and you can sell your junk in your shop window xD

Things are rather slow going for us right now, but with all of the basic concepts in place, it's down to finishing the actual gameplay. We don't have a name yet, but the goal of our protagonist is to make the world around him smaller.
Here's a preview of the star of our game waiting for the world around him to come into fruition.

Our largest issue at the moment is that our main mechanic - which we had working yesterday - has broken on us, which is not something you want to be saying almost 36 hours into a 72 hour challenge.

Still very much in debug mode, pardon the ugly sliders :)
Got the bare bones working allright (enemies, terrain collisions, health, overheating system, score and so on), time for more enemies, bosses and fleshing the game out.
I'm surprised how much I've learned so far.

The universe is slowly getting populated. Aliens from all around the Universe are searching for the biggest planets to colonize them. Unfortunatly most small planets are still uninhabited. Which makes them really really sad. ;(
But there are exceptions! On a small planet called 42-Mikronikus some Aliens just started a colony. And the small planet would do anything to protect his new inhabitants from the dangers of space
Some basic mechanics =) http://joxi.ru/E2pzZ3EF9jvb0r Planet with canons. TD Like. So much work to do!!!!
Still isn't done but it works!

It works. I am doing a score game - a paced FPS. There is 4 enemies with 4 different behaviors. My leaderboars works like a charm. I continue ++!

My take on the theme turns out to be a non violent game, that ask you (as a small world with a big Alien) to go after your love that you've just lost.
I've made my first random positionning, i've my goal, now i must add some mechanics to the alien to make it more useful, adding music, maybe sounds, and some fine tuning in graphics.

Ambitious, perhaps. We'll see how it goes.
