Water Bear World

WaterBearScreenshot.jpgWorld.jpgArthropod.jpg

A “small world” out in space, with some of the harshest living conditions known to man. Relatively barren, except for one particularly hardy creature. The infamous Tardigrade a micro animal with many names. Some know them as… Water Bears.

Take your best shot at surviving on this cruel planet.

Best of Luck,

-Aviland

Special thanks to my Dad who threw together an ost during his lunch break <3

I made a game!

I think I'm done, folks! Check out my creation here.

  • 1st time doing Ludum Dare
  • 1st time using Phaser

It's finished

After a lot of blood and tears, I've finally published my first Lundum Dare Jam game. :raisedhands::raisedhands: ScreenShot Game Title.png. There are a lot of things lacking in this game like any sort of sound, a scoreboard, a pause button, a lot more gameplay but hey, It's finished in a sense, I learned a lot of things in the course of three days, I'm already super hyped for next Lundum Dare but if there is a thing I really am hyped for is more than 4 hours of sleep

Finished (on many levels)

Phew! What a craft.

My VR World - End of Day 3.

This was intended to be a mini version of Civ, where you placed your base camp, expanded, gained research points and upgraded your lands, unfortunately as this was a solo effort I didn't get to finish it. Hope you can see the potential...

And it looks cool in VR.

I'm Going To Have To Leave the Jam

I was almost close to making it, but the bugs in this game (and there were a lot), plus other projects, and offline stuff have forced me to give up on this game for this Ludum Dare. I'll probably work on this in my spare time, if I can.

In the meantime, hope everyone's games turn out okay, and good luck!

Finished

my game is finished, please if you have some time check it out.

It's more a gameplay concept than an actual game...
I didn't have time to make a soundtrack, a start screen and neither some level design...

I don't think it'll be super fun to play, but this is my first game ever and I some ideas about it that maybe I could elaborate after the Ludum Dare.

I'll write all my impressions in the post-mortem, but now it's almost 2 AM so it's definitely time to sleep...

Entry Complete

My Game is finally complete, its 2am and im too tired to event be happy, check it out at https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/$20227

First LD in the can.

Screen Shot 2017-04-24 at 4.21.40 PM.png

Just published Destroy Small Worlds, my first game in Unity and my brothers first project.

I was able to work in some cool effects with deformable planet meshes and some neat shader effects for the fuel display on the rocket. Also, it uses real* gravitational mechanics (which I think now makes it kind of less fun).

Its a simple shooter but gave me a chance to get pretty deep on how to write something complete in Unity and a chance to play with their shader and rendering system.

LITTLE FORTUNE PLANET: Day 3

logo.png

We've done it! Little Fortune Planet is done. The physics, the cards, the characters, the music and the achievements - they're all in. I was going to submit and immediately go to sleep - I have a full day of work followed by a Dream Theater concert tomorrow, so I won't get much sleep then either - but I had to drop a little blog in celebration.

Big thanks to my fellow conspirators: @daanvanyperen, @meatmachine and @troop. This was the first time we worked with more than a duo's worth, and it's definitely easier for me to be able to focus on just the art.

I hope you'll enjoy our game, and leave feedback for us to chew on. :alien:

Time for that sleep I've been longing for!
