LD 40 December 1–4, 2017

I'm in!

My first jam in quite a while! I'm thinking of using this as a chance to get back into Unity. Going to try to do something simple, that allows me to show how much I remember and what I need to work on.

2 Days left!!

Time to start stocking on Monster.

Here's my tools:

Unity 2017.1.1f - C# - (Considering making my own LD engine, until then, Unity is suffice)

Blender 3D (Tried Autodesk Maya, made me realise I highly prefer Blender)

Photoshop(For detailed textures...Jk, I do programmer art)/Gimp(Better for animations for small objects)

Audacity/FL Studio 12 - (I love these two pieces of software, I use them to manipulate my own sounds in games)

AwesomeBump (For Height/Bump/Occlusion maps)

And just to make sure my internet doesn't die when I upload the game, I bought a £40 Powerline adaptor by TP-Link and holy shit it makes my connection up-stairs speedy.

Check the TP-Link out if you have a slow connection in your current room!

Tp-Link AV600 - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Powerline-Configuration-UK-TL-WPA4220KIT-V1-20/dp/B01LXOZ4EN/ref=sr13?ie=UTF8&qid=1511969880&sr=8-3&keywords=tp+link+av600 - (Got mine from a local CurrysPCWorld store)

I'm in!

I haven't done LD in a while, so I thought it would be a good time to come back and try again.

Tools: - Unity3D (first time doing 3D in Ludum Dare) - FL Studio 12 (hopefully I can come up with something good) - Paint.NET - Cool ideas

Might also stream the whole process so check that out!

First Jam

This is my first LD. I hoping for a good theme I slaughtered so many. I start soooo many game projects and never finish any so I hope LD will force me to finish a game for once.

I'll be using:

Engine: Unity
Graphics: Blender and Photoshop
Audio: Audacity

Good luck to everyone.

I'm attending to LD Jam #40

For the first time I am attending to the LD Jam. I have attended to a game jam before (Nordic Game Jam), however this will be my very first game jam on my own.

I intent to use - Unity - Aseprite

I am looking for a person who is willing to make music for me. Preferable some chip-tuned styled music, since I am planning to make it an 8 bit styled game. So if you can make music, and is willing to do so, then please contact me :)

First Ludum Dare

That's my first Ludum Dare and also my first GameJam, i hope to finish it in time tho. I'm expecting to use:

-Unity.

-Photoshop.

-Bfxr.

-Bosca Ceoil.

So, good look for everybody and have fun =D.

Happy Bday to me ...

OMG! This was supposed to be my first ever Ludum Dare and I might not have time to attend. I'll be spending 1.12.-3.12. with my family due the fact that 2.12. is my birthday! Perfect timing LD, really nice gift

Tools I planned to use: - Blender 3D - Unity 2017 or Unreal Engine 4 - Delorean :nerd: - ... magic, I guess

My LD Tools

I like to keep it nice and simple. I make 16-color 2d games using the TIC-80 fantasy console and while the built-in sprite editor on that is pretty dope and the text editor is also nice, I like to use aseprite and vim.

First Ludum Dare!

Hey Everyone,

I've just started learning how to use Unity and code my own games, I thought that this would be a cool way to push myself further and faster,

I'm going to use: Engine - Unity Graphics - Blender Audio - Audacity

Getting hyped!

I'm really looking forward to the compo weekend! Here's what I'm planning to use: - Engine: Unity - 2D graphics: Photoshop and a Wacom tablet - 3D modeling: Houdini - Audio: Ableton Live and a eurorack modular synth

For music I'm planning on jamming something with my hardware modular synth. I'm probably just gonna hit record, start patching the synth and once I'm satisfied I'll just select one or more parts from the recording as the soundtrack. It's gonna be weird and veerry rough around the edges but hopefully it'll stand out! I might even do some sound effects with the modular but I'll probably end up doing those with Ableton Live's software instruments instead for convenience's sake.

For 3D graphics, I'm planning to use Houdini with a lowpoly 3D painting HDA I've been working on (It's still WIP but you can download the current toolset here). Here's what it does:

Good luck everyone!

Ready to rock

Hi everyone!

This is my second time at LD, and my first time as solo! Wanted to see how it is to build the whole game on my own.

I'll be using my default battlesuit: * Engine: Game Maker * Graphics: Photoshop (as well as the built-in GM editor) * BG Music: Guitar Pro and an amazing sequencer * SFX: SFXR as usual * Python: Maybe for a single-time procedural generation

Every last-round theme is very exciting, can't wait for the weekend!

I'm in, for the third time this year - yay

Hello, my fellow jammers! How are you guys doing?

This time, these will be the tools that I'll use:

  • Aseprite
  • Bosca Ceoil
  • Bfxr
  • Bitbucket
  • My new french press
  • And last, but not least, the new cool kid on the block: the Godot Engine.

The engine is the main difference from my other attempts here, I've been using Unity since ever and this time I decided to change things up a bit. This whole week I'm using my afternoon to study the engine and get better at pixel art, because right now they look like trash.

My main objectives are: (1) stick to one idea from start to finish; (2) create a game that has music; (3) make something which is fun to play; (4) Have FUN and learn a lot.

Anyways, hopefully we'll all be able to finish our games in time and have good time. See you guys in two days! :purple_heart:

First Ludum Dare...a bit nervous ^-^"

I've been developing games as a hobby for a few years but recently decided to take it more seriously and make a career out of it.. I wish to use Ludum Dare as a way to gauge my overall game-making skills as I advance them, so I'll be participating in the Compo from now on @.@

Tools I'll be using:

  • Unreal Engine 4
  • Blender 3D
  • REAPER for mixing sfx
  • Music Touch 6 for music
  • Git for source control, but I'll probably just use it locally

Phew...well, good luck everyone ^-^

I'm In!

Time for another Ludum Dare, missed the last few, but I usually join whenever I can.

Tools

  • Unity?
  • PyxelEdit
  • Bosca Ceoil
  • Whatever I can find

I'm really bored of using Unity all the time though, any suggestions?

I plan on going for Compo, but will most likely be forced into Jam nearing the end of day 2 lol

I will be using Unity, Blender (probably don't have time for textures though, we'll see), Ableton Live (my forte, I'm hoping the music at least stands out haha), and a 24pk of soda.
