Skele-TON Adventure
An unforgiving game, where you can hold only one weapon at a time. You will find tons of hidden secrets in this adventure if you look good luck. ;)

The Grassland Kings was my 7th published LD game, and one of my favorites. However, there are definitely some issues, as so many of you guys have helpfully pointed out, and a post-jam version is coming, just you wait!
What Went Well:
Theme: The game provides you with the theme front and center, with you requiring an encounter with the theme to even damage a boss! Every time you swing your pathetically underpowered sword, you lose some of your precious field of view.
Controls: The controls are fully functioning without bugs, and there's even controller support, which I've been wanting to add to most of my previous entries but just couldn't get done in time. For any of you that try the game later on, I highly recommend a controller. I tested it with an Xbox 360 wired, but any other controller should work fine.
Feel: The feel of the game was perfect for the idea I had, at least in my opinion. The fast-paced yet spooky music fit the intensity of the boss rush and the creepy vibe of the decaying FoV at the same time, which I think works pretty well.
What Didn't Work:
Balance: This is the biggest complaint with my game, one that almost every player has mentioned. The game is absurdly difficult, to the point where people can't even beat the first boss, let alone the second one. Another greatly requested feature was a health bar, just so you knew when you died, along with the boss's HP.
Story: This didn't work, simply because there was none to be found. I, as the dev, have an idea of how I want the story to pan out, but that's not evident in the game itself. With a post-jam version, I'll be sure to have an overarching story that ties it together.
Sound Effects: They don't sound bad, but in the moments you boot up the game and start fighting the first boss, the sound effects drown out an semblance of music there was. The sound effects need improved, and they also need a volume slider.
Could be Better:
Overall: While there are some spots that need some definite work, the majority of the harder-to-nail sections are good, and a post-jam version can easily fix some of the other problems.

Ludum Dare 43 was a lot of fun for our team , with no graphic artist for two days, and a Japanese dog as team leader. We decided first to venture in the wonderful world of text-based game, with a lot of multiple story lines.
We worked hard on a sci-fi/electronic soundscape and focus mostly to create a deep and uncommon story, playing with the rules of text-based games. Finally we had the chance to work with a talented artist for the visual part, which enhanced both the story and the atmosphere.
Come play and rate our game $Player Disconnected : Explore a strange pyramid and try to escape from a malevolent software in this text-based game but beware of the choices you make : the software never forgets !
The monsters are attacking the city! You, as the only hope of this city, will decide its destiny. Will you sacrifice few people to save more people? Or will you sacrifice your own health to save more people?
Anyway, use your strategy, try to save as many as possible! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/electric-kaiju

The Grassland Kings has officially become my most-rated game of Ludum Dare! I've struggled to even get 10 ratings in past years, and here I am now with 24 days remaining and over 15 ratings! Let's go for 20!
(Here it is if you want to help reach the almighty 20 ratings: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/ludum-dare-43-entry )
I don’t know how to start a Post-Mortem, so… Let’s just get right into it, shall we?
Achivements:
-Music:
This went surprisingly smoothly. I hopped into Bosca Ceoil and just spent an hour on a 30 second music track. I (Personally) thought it came out really well, and I hope to gain a little more experience in this area.
-Programming:
This LD, I felt like I learned a lot involving my language, and I experimented in things I would usually never dare touch (Ex. Sine Waves, Turn Based Combat, Ect.), leading me to, albeit not my favorite creation, but my most diverse gameplay wise.
-Title Screen:
Anyone who played SITW is probably asking why I put this on here. Quite simply, it’s the FIRST NONBUGGY TITLE SCREEN I’VE EVER MADE. EVER. And that just puts me over the moon.
Things to Improve:
-Graphics:
These graphics just suck. I think I was going for a simplistic feel?
Overall, I had an amazing time this year participating in Ludum Dare and, while I will not be publishing a Post-LD version, I hope to learn a lot more and be a supportive and active member of this wonderful community.

I made a strategic top-shooter game about exploding your own guys.

You should play it.
Yesterday was rough for Blaa. It seemed like there was no coming back. Raa had cornered him to nigh the ends of oblivion.
But this morning awoke to holiday surprise. Blaa had taken back the lead! And a tentative balance of 19,463 returned to our civilization. Will discourse and brotherhood be the themes that guide our great society into the future!?!? Will we find that together we are STRONGER? Or does our eternal conflict of morality and self doubt make us weak?
Also, The Coin Fairy came early this year, and with him, a slight art update and the inclusion of new elusive Sacrifice Holes of unfathomable values.

Balance tuned to be little harder. Enjoy ;)

Space Battle Zero is a strategy game about energy management... and blowing up an enemy spaceship with lasers and stuff. If you've ever played FTL: Faster Than Light, you already know the basics:

This is your energy. You start with 3 points, and earn 2 more for every orbit you survive.
.

Click on a system (like LASER) to assign an energy point to it. It will take a few seconds to power up.
.

Assign another point to speed up charging time.
NOTE: Adding more energy doesn't always speed up charging. Adding a third point to lasers, for example, will make them more powerful instead of faster to charge.

A system is ready to fire when A) it's fully charged, and B) the enemy is within range. A + B = C, as in Click that fire button!
.

Bam, you've just fired your first laser! Keep it up and space will be littered with the shattered hulls of your enemies in no time.
Try it out for yourself in Space Battle Zero. Playable online right from your browser, and now available to download for PC or Mac.
We're so close! Thank you so much to everyone who has played, and reviewed my game- I really appreciate it!

Check Ritual Slaughter out as well! I'd really love to hear your feedback!

But don't worry, the cellar is full of barrels! You only need to overcome some deadly traps along the way.
Play Rogues Like Beer and help a bunch of rogues to quench their throats!
And don't forget to rate it and leave me a feedback!:beer::beer::beer:

We used Google Forms to make a choose your own adventure game. While this definitely had some pro's and con's in comparison to a normal game development environment. One pro we hadn't counted on was the data.
Google Forms keeps track of all the answers so we get to see what people choose. We were happy to see that almost everyone wanted to be polite to the cleaning lady.

But a little worried that 1) you played our weird @$$ game, and 2) you chose to just try and stare through your therapist, despite being covered in blood

Either way we have been pumped about the feedback, and if you feel like playing a fast, weird, possibly disturbing web game, come on by.
