Rescue other robots from the fire!
You may need to sacrifice some parts for that.

"Oh I know, I'll use ECS in MonoGame while I've never used that before."
So that was a massive waste of time :|
Hopefully I can move everything to Unreal and still submit the game to the compo on time.
On the upside at least now I might be able to do a web build, so that's something.

So... we're kind of missing the core mechanic of the game, but other than that, everything's going swimmingly! :D
The idea is that you will have to knock out and drag villagers to a sacrificial altar and use his soul to empower existing towers. Basic towers are okay, but not very strong. You will lose unless you sacrifice your villagers.
The villagers, however, don't like being slaughtered in the name of greater "good" and will object to you knocking them out, if they see you do it. They will wake up fallen comrades if they notice them lying unconscious on the ground.
The goal of the game is to survive all the enemy waves while keeping your population level above a certain threshold. How will you do that and sacrifice enough villagers to succeed is up to you.
Good fun! :D

Whelp I'm done for today, or at the very least I don't think I will implement anymore important features. Tonigh I have to sleep I'm exhausted, I really need a good night. Because tomorrow's work will involve a lot of math and stats.

Been at work all day, but making some progress. Going for something quite simple again so that I can focus on polish.
Our work in progess characters from game based on slavic gopnik's life :D
OK, got my basic crew of groupmind chickens moving around "correctly"... now to add some game structure to this.
Hmmm... could figure out how to add video to this post, or just include a link to my twitter post with a video and get back to work. Yep, option two it is! -Lee

Here's a lets play of my game. Obviously there's going to be more to it than that but I like to get the title to end screen implemented as soon as possible.
Unfortunately starting like 17 hours late because sacrifices had to be made yesterday :(
Im drawn to the idea of sacrificing your friends in an online multiplayer game, but not sure if I can fit this in with the time I have. Current idea is to make a town defensive wave based survival game where each round you must sacrifice a town member to the gods to gain abilities while demons are breaking down your defenses.

Over the past 4, or so, hours, me and @renegadePunisher have been hard at work getting multiple pop-up screens to work on the one monitor used to play the game - so you can move your character between one and another. This functionality is not yet complete so I cannot show it to you yet, however, it will be done eventually.

We are fully aware that the graphics at this time are not the best, however they are tomorrow's job.
So far this has been a very challenging and complex programming task, but we both feel up to the challenge - so we will finish before the last hour (unlike last time in which we were working until the last possible second).
If you look close enough you may see a little fella falling off the screen at the bottom left - This is our sacrificial being. (All will become clear in the next update).
Till then: Good Game Jamming
I'm doing LD43 this weekend! If you need a place to chill, come say hi.
