Uh oh...

Now it's time to do some music and add some juice.
In Platform43 you replace missing platforms by sacrificing yourself! Live Development: https://www.twitch.tv/firesplashtv

A rough mock-up at the end of day 1.
What we managed to get done today:
- platformer movement
- extra satisfying dashing
- smooth animations for the main character
- enemies
- background and glitchy props
- some of the UI
- some sound fx & music
We'll keep you posted on our progress tomorrow. Best of luck to everyone!
-Quack!
Got a snow man enemy into the game. I guess I'm running with a winter theme, for some reason?

Now with 50% more graphics. :tada:

I can't believe how long it took me to get this right:

And inter-ship collisions are not even checked at this point -_-.
difficult decision I just have an evening and I wanted to discover a little more JS for the occasion
For the previous LD I used construct 2 But that's it I have a working environment and I'm starting to understand how the phaser framework works
The goal is to integrate some very cool material like the librairy synaptics
But that's it: I m in;)
tried to get all my weekend homework done on time before the jam, ended up working til noon and now i gotta crash to sleep soon since ive been up almost 24 hours lmao, on the bright side i have my game planned out & made a menu song for it, so there's that :v:
We reached a somewhat complete shape of the game. It's basically an adventure-tiles-card game where you're a Dark Lord and you have to sacrifice your people in order to win a war and conquest the Imperial City. We're testing it and balancing it right now. It will definitely look better when illustrations are done.

This is not intended to be done, but I guess it works...
others may have coordination but we have random songs in order: disturbed sound of silence, war why cant we be friends, bobby mcferrin dont worry be happy, trololo sing along, chaccaron maccaron, lotz of bob marley, queen dont stop me now, toto africa, crab rave... and we dont even have 1 sprite fully done only place holders.

this is I guess a basic tile engine which uses direction to determine which way you should go(hey cheat this if you want I did accidentaly in the game).

But you know what... sacrifices must be made
Well, at the end of day 1 I pretty much have - Gameplay loop (and all other gameplay bits around) - UI - Story and events outline - A couple of buildings
Thank god my idea seems to be working well and I properly scoped it this time (so I wouldn't end up making an entire metroidvania in an evening like LD 38), so I can have an entire day just drawing, animating and making music

I swear to god this was an accident.
