I can't praise this game highly enough. I'm a huge sucker for a well-executed creep factor and Woodsy just does a great job with very difficult art driven elements- like mood and humor and ambiance and tension... I could go on. The pixel art is stylish and unique looking and the monsters are certainly creepy and scary but also very well designed and individualized. The writing in this is fresh and a little sardonic but natural feeling and that really lends itself to the overall tone of the game and the implementation of this jam's theme. This game also describes my idea neighborhood. I give this game 5 friendly cryptids out of 5.

Feel like running your very own restaurant? Putting together customer orders by running around collecting food items? If so, how about checking out my game Order Up! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/order-up Thanks!!!

I've been really busy since Ludum Dare 41 ended, but I've managed to update my game The Royale We so it actually works with keyboard and mouse. I also made some gameplay changes and added Hi-Scores.

It's a mix of battle royale and arcade Hi-Score. Run around grabbing coinz while everyone kills everyone else. When you die, turn into a ghost and possess another person so you can keep collecting coinz. You are ALWAYS the last one left standing.
You can check the code out here: https://github.com/arnodick/royalewe

We <3 all of you that have rated so far!
We're really, really close to hitting 200 ratings! Can you help us pass this milestone?

Now that the filter is on danger, no one is rating my game even though I have coolness, it would be awesome if you could check it out :)

And... How about Puzz Snake? Have you tried it?
I would really love to see someone playing my game, but my problem is when I recommend my game to streamers I can't watch it because of my extremely slow internet connection. I always hope that the stream will be availabe after it streamed but most of the time its not.
I would really appreciate to see someone playing my game.
Play and give any new idea about my game of FPS+Platformer. What things that can be improved and how can I make it good for mobile. Thank You

In our game - Fear of Silence, we want to mix horror and rhythm games! We thought that this would be an interesting mix of genres, because it's quite absurd!! And we decided to make a cool atmosphere by choosing the theme of the level of the entrance of the house from the post-Soviet space!
As we think the atmosphere at us turned out, but in two days we did not manage to realize much that wanted! These are some elements of the horror, like screamers, monsters, etc.
The rhythm elements of the game we sketched pretty fast, it turned out to be acceptable, but we would not have had time to do something more cool, since we did not have experience in such types of games unfortunately! Rhythm set is very complex, so it is difficult to move, but we've added the ability to disable the rhythm of the game, so that players can simply evaluate the level of the atmosphere!
We hope you will appreciate our game on advantage!

I've been hugely involved in working on StarPath this time around; I loved the idea of it, but I had a hell of a time with the contest because of Big Issues With Work that started even before Ludum Dare began. Plus my old collision and geometry code didn't prove... quite up to task.

I've put a "Post Ish Jam" Version here that's resembling more of what I wanted. SPACE, SHIFT, and WASD/arrows: http://gwbloom.com/dev/games/ludum/ludum41.1/
I'm still updating it, mostly been bugfixing and trying to wrangle the mechanics to give better content... as mentioned below.
Losing half the Ludum Dare weekend kind of killed my chances, unfortunately. But additionally I've had to do (and redo) the geometry code for this... a lot. To give you an idea, I have only added the Checkpoints, the tutorial "Jumping" character, and a better level "deployment" system. Everything else has been debugging. Almost all of it involving a whole new collision type I've never dealt with before, "Rays". I thought I had code to handle this... boy was I wrong.
Don't bother about voting. I'm mostly interested in comments anyway! :) I'm not completely happy with the mechanics; if you have the same color as a laser, why push the box? Why interact when you can build, or teleport? This has been my other challenge here (beyond geometry code). There's fun potential here, but I have to think mechanics more.
And fix the bloody ray/path collisions. Gr...
Oh come on!

A lot of people requested a WebGL build of our game so it has now been uploaded! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/iocus-navis
