Artz Again + General Updates

I'll be teaming-up with my friend Josh again. Same routine as before.

I have finally resumed work on my game library, but progress is slow. I think I finally have a definitive idea how I want to see it evolve, though. Currently focusing on my GUI system, cuz it's both completely the opposite of what I wanted to create, and is riddled with bugs. That is all for now

Excited for first jam!

I have been doing scratch for a while now and have only just started getting into GameMaker - probably not enough experience - but I'm just going to jump into it 😃👍 Oh and also - does it really matter to people what you use to code?

I'm in 4th time (I think)

4th time (something like that) and this time I'm using my own framework (C++ & OpenGL). If anyone who also does C++ or OpenGL stuff wanna chat I just joined the Ludum Dare discord so just hit me up on there. My username is #Styrbjörn

Good luck to everyone!

Artists of LD: what are your favorite tools for game jams?

I personally use Krita for 2D art since it's free and easily customizable. I am considering trying out photoshop since it's the industry standard, but I know there are plenty of ~~cheaper~~ tools out there worth trying out.

What tools do you use?

  • What do you like about them?
  • What do you use them for?
  • Have you considered any other tools?

My first Ludum Dare!!

Hi guys! This would be my first Ludum Dare. I made a lot of games in my life using Game Maker Studio. So my game engine would be GMS. ALso I will use this tools: Art: Aseprite. Music: Fl Studio or Famitracker.

I am PEBKAC, Slayer of Themes!

ld42-001-theme-slaugther.png

There were an awful lot of (misspelt) duplicates and inappropriate themes this time 'round... Still, excited to see what will go on to Theme Voting, and what will utterly stump me for ideas at the start of LDJam.

Is Jukedeck allowed?

Jukedeck is an AI which can make music for you... is it allowed? It's like sfxr, but with music instead.

Themes Be Dead / We Be In

There, the massacre is complete. I tried to vote yes a little more, but still ended up with only 264 positive votes. I was pretty happy I could change my mind on recent themes though, that's an excellent addition.

LD 42 First Time

Hey, first time trying out making something for LD Compo despite spending years playing random stuff that has come out of Ludum Dare. Will be using the Phaser CE framework to make a game in the HTML5 Canvas. Looking forward to making a game with you all!

First LD for me

Hi everyone, this is my first ever LD and I hope I will have much fun, I will be developing alone using Unity, GIMP and FL Studio for the music and I hope it will be a pleasing experience. I wish everyone good luck and have fun!

We are in

I’m in for my third time and this will be the second time for my team.

I wish you all good luck

First LD!

I'm in!

Let's Do This!! Musician / Coder LFG

Hey everyone! Texas-based musician/coder/designer here looking to collaborate for my first Ludum Dare! Seeking some artists or coders to help create something fun and unique this upcoming weekend. My music styles include 80's/90's synthwave, cinematic/orchestral music, and alternative rock, among others. Some of my alt-rock stuff can be heard at: http://www.jordantanner.net, but I'll likely focus on synth for this project. As far as my experience, my knowledge of Unity is probably around intermediate level and my audio production experience being more advanced. Art experience somewhat beginner but can probably contribute something in that realm. Possibly looking to create a 2D game, but am open to fun suggestions depending on the theme.

Tools: - Unity 2018 _ Ableton Live 9 Suite - Photoshop - Maya LT 2016

Hit me up on here if you'd like to talk about collaborating! If I can't find a team, I'll still enter solo, but it would be fun to jam with someone! Cheers! :)

The theme WILL be bad.

I can say that I have some experience in Ludum Dare. Every time the theme sucks. What do y'all think?
