So, first of all... Animancia, apparently, is the best game I have ever made?
This... completely caught me off-guard. I, honestly expected everyone to hate this game... Because I sort of did. I thought it was too short, unfinished and a complete failure and not even worth posting... But I did and, to my surprise, kinda a lot of people played it. For some reason, it got to the front page of Itch.io, and stuck around for quite a while:

Even tho I feel like a lot of this game's success was based on luck, I still feel there is.. something here.
So.. I decided to try and continue to develop this game. For now, I am unsure of the direction I want to take it, I am split between turning it into a roguelite with random generation or some sort of action-RPG with plot and stuff. Both options aren't unique and make me feel like I'm trying to copy other people. It will be cool to hear everyone's opinion of what they feel this game should grow into.
Anyways, this is something I will decide on later. For now, here's a smol snek-pek for something I've been making for the next update:

I actually wanted to release an update around the time results were announced, but some IRL things got in the way :/
I'll still try to do it as soon a s possible tho.
Anyways, thanks for everyone who played (and rated!) Animancia! I really appreciate all of you and all of your support <3
And if you didn't, but want to, here's a link!
Also, if you care about the future of this game, you can follow me on Twitter, I'll post all of my progress progress there (yaaay, shameless plugs!)
