To the battlestation!

My jam station is ready, now it’s just waiting for the theme to be announced.

My battlestation

In the picture from left to right: MacBook Pro for music, PC for code and irc. My friend who I’m jamming with is sitting to the left from my workstation. Oh we’re having a nice big event here in Kajaani, Finland when rest of the people show up. It’s 3:37AM here so most of our jammers/compoers are probably still sleeping.. :)

Im in

Going to give this a try using Stencyl and Gimp

Workstation and more details

Here’s the good old base camp for me:

(That bulging bag of brightly colored delicious on the desktop is in fact Gummy Dinos :D)

In other news, we’ll be doing the jam in 3D with Unity3d, Blender, and Photoshop.  Audio will be done in ACID Express and Audacity.   We’re really hoping that after the jam, @pixelbutterfly will be able to continue building this into her thesis project as she pursues a master’s degree at SCAD.

Hello thar

Hello, I will be joining for the first time.

I will try as hard as I can to finish it, because recently I started and stopped a lot of projects…so yeah…

I will be programming in Java using LWJGL 😀

Now let’s keep waiting for the theme!

Cheers!

I’M IN!

This will be my first LD compo and i can’t wait.and this will be my first time  entering game jams in general

Language:Flash/AS3

Framework:Flixel

Tools:Photoshop,DAME,Flashdevelop,sfxr,musagi

Im in!

I will be entering Ludum Dare 21, using Visual C# with XNA 4.0

My library

Just to make sure I’m adhering to the rules I went ahead and made available what my personal XNA 2D library consists of so that you can make use of it if you see fit.  It’s a constant work-in-progress, so don’t expect too much!  It’ll continue to evolve and grow, no doubt.

Let’s Party Guys!

Hey Guys!

I’m coming here to make a game! (Obvious)
It’s my first competition. I’ll be using the Indie Game Maker and Adobe Fireworks CS5.
I like video games, my hobbies are play and create.
I have nothing more to talk, I hope to win this competition.
I hope you enjoy the games that I will create (According to the themes I have chosen).

See Ya!

I May Look Like a Retarded Chipmunk:

Win. Full win.

ME. PLUS SPIN. TO WIN.

BUT I’M HERE TO WINNNN!!!!!!!! SWOLLLEEENN CHEEEEEKS AND DEMMAAAAACIIIIAAAAAAAAA FTW!!!!!

where am i

help

Bring it on!

This is my first LD, I’ll be using Unity and recording a timelapse of my dev.

I’ll be using my own FeX library, which is a bunch of random classes that change all the time as I’m a Unity noob.

I’M IN!

After flirting briefly with Clojure, I’ve decided to be a little safer and do Python.

Here’s some code I’m declaring: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RARFRZ6Z It’s a simple game engine on top of Pygame.

Tools I’ll be using:

  • Python and pygame. I haven’t really used them before, so this ought to be interesting.
  • Vim. All vim, all the time.
  • Graphics Gale. To make the pixels. ALL OF THE PIXELS.
  • FL Studio. For gorgeous background music. Or decent background music. Or…yeah.
  • Maybe I’ll try my hand at sfxr. Didn’t have time last time but… yeah, we’ll see.
I’M FREAKING EXCITED!!!

LD[20] = “in”

(It’s 20 cause you start at 0)

Alright, real last minute but I’m back for my second LD. Back in April I missed the deadline for the main entry and had to submit under the Jam, this time however I’ll be aiming to finish within the two days.

I’m learning Python so this would be a good opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. I keep hearing about how Python programs are in the order of 2 – 4 times smaller than Java programs and ~10 smaller than c++ programs so I’m sure I’ll have like 80% of the game done in the first hour. In fact if I type game.create(“2d”, “THEME”) it’ll probably do it for me.

Releasing my Actionscript 3 Game Framework

Well, according to the rules I’m releasing the source of the framework I’ll be using for the compo. It’s not finished and needs a lot of work, plus I’ll be modifying it during the compo.

I’m having a problem with the repository (already opened a ticket on SourceForge, but they won’t reply until monday), so I uploaded it somewhere else.

When I’m done with JFK and the repository is working, I will create a proper post.

http://www.jorjon.com.ar/downloads/JorjonFramework.rar

And it all begins so soon

So, the Dare starts in 1 hour, so I figure I’m gonna make my first post. During the dare I’m going to post every few hours, just letting those who care know what I’ve done and where I’m heading. As it is now I have : NOTHING (those are the rules). So here’s a screenshot of what happens when I compile my code as it is now:

Unfortunately, in trying to reach the maximum user base possible I decided to use XNA Reach  and thus had to remove my animated intro, even though it was awesome, because it was something like 39000 pixels wide, and Reach wouldn’t take it.

Just so you know, I’m going to be using C# XNA 4.0 for my code, Paint.Net for my art and probably my cello and logic pro for all sound.

Let’s do this!

Oh, and self-replication, I have voted for you, now win!

Haha nice dude, I like the screenshot.

I’m In! And maybe We’re In!

Hey!

Will start with the comp, but switch to the jam if my artist friend joins me.

Won’t necessarily use Unity, depends on the game, but posted the base project in case.

Base project (Unity3D)

Framework Declaration

This is my messy/buggy framework (I always seem to find a bug to fix in it every project I make)

I will be using C++ with Ogre. Assets will be made with Blender and Photoshop.

This will be my first LD since LD18 so I hope to finish something this time, and get sound in which I have never managed before.

We’re in!

My brother and I will be participating as first timers in the jam :).

I will be doing the programming, he will do the art. I will use Java and lwjgl.

Good luck everyone!

My Workstation

My Workstation, 2Am here so its pretty badly lit.
