Two of my friends and I will be participating tonight. I am Ryan, my team is made up of Nick and Matt.

No idea what software… Probably Unity. Thanks.

I’m here, and figuring out how to post.

I’ve never made a video game, let alone participated in Ludum Dare.

But count me in!

Testing the waters

Testing out some waters here; I’ve always wanted to partake in LD, but I’ve chickened out due to time constraints and such. This time I thought I’d just go for it to see what it really takes, so I can be better prepared for the upcoming ones. I know I’m a bit short on time this weekend, but at least this gives me a chance to take a look into how much doing a game jam on your own really takes.

I really liked the theme section this time around so I got to push myself to try this out. Who knows, maybe I’ll come up with something decent in three-ish days anyway. Will be trying to cook something up with Unity.

If I fail spectacularly, at least I’m better prepared for the upcoming LDs :)

First LD ever, nervous but excited!

I will be participating for the first time in a game jam, ever!

First time we’re joining but we’re joining good!! We will be participating with a team of 3.

Located in Maasbracht/Limburg/Netherlands this is going to be fun!!!!

Only downside is that the theme is told to us at local time 3 AM…

Pico three – maiden game jam

3 friends! (from Perth, in Pico-8). First time game jammers but with some skills related to at least one area of specialisation such as code, art, and sound. Base specs 128 x 128 , 16 colours. We are all new to Pico 8 and are hoping to establish a 3 way workflow with the goal of completing a simple working level.

I’m in, there’s a first time for everything

I’ve known about Ludum Dare for a while now but my friend and I thought we’d toss our hats into the ring.

We’ll probably be using:

  • Unity
  • Bfxr
  • Aseprite if we do 2D
  • Visual Studio for an IDE
  • other tools I’ve forgotten about

My first LD!

Hello everyone,

I’ve been following the last couple of LDs and finally decided to try it out by myself this weekend.

I’m kinda nervous but very confident  that I can create something great (For me. Hopefully for you guys too).

I’ll be using Monogame (C#) and Visual Studio. My drawing skills are basicly non existend, so be prepared!

I’m using Gamemaker: Studio. :)

I’ll be working in C++11 with SFML in CodeBlocks.

I’ll probably use sfxr and famitracker for sound stuff, and mspaint or maybe gimp for graphics.

I’m In

This is going to be my first Ludum Dare. I’m glad to see a lot of other folks who are new to the experience all over the website. Very excited to participate, should be a ton of fun, and a good chance to sharpen up the absolutely maddening variety of skills that are used in game making.

I’m doing this to try to round out my collection of Time Crunch Art. I’ve done two 24 hour play festivals and a 72 hour film, hopefully this isn’t too much worse than those. It’s certainly new in that I’m going solo for this one. Good luck to everyone, especially to me, I’m going to need it.

Here for Another One

I’m in! This will be my 4th Ludum Dare but the first time in the jam. I’m excited to be working with some one else instead of solo.

 

I’ll be using:

  • Haxeflixel
  • Ableton Live

 

Not sure what will be used on the art side of things yet. I’m super excited and can’t wait to see some awesome games.

PPA_001_HDSuper excited for LD37. Hopefully it will be better than that rushed mess I made in LD36, so I figured I’d start improving by practicing pixel art. Here’s an idea for a hero character.
