Bad Dreams

Didn’t make it to compo this time but still got it to the Jam. Still can’t believe I found time to do sounds.
Now I have to sleep, my shoulders are killing me.

Now this post might come in actual 20 minutes after we already released the Windows build,
considering all the cool games we keep testing in between every action right now!

You can try out our game here:

I made my room in VR using a combination of photographs and 3D models textured with photographs .

My first jam, my first time using Unity… heck, my first time making a game in years since my old ASCII games made in QBasic.
It’s not the best, it’s barely finished, but it exists and I’m happy with that.
So here is Ballroom (the name is a pun, and the pun gave me the idea for the game)

Can’t believe we got through it in one piece. I also had to get a brand new server to host it online.
There are some minor bugs that I might have to iron out while still making sure that the WebGL player actually plays fine. But anyway, here’s the end product:

I’m gonna have to write a post-mortem on what I’ve learned later. Like how to deal with my ever-growing rage towards Unity’s UI bugs.
Cheers!

Got it up with 30 minutes to spare! Defend your room, and yourself, from the outside elements with 3 different characters.

Need to tweak some of the GUI elements positioning/size.
Slammers VR is a pog simulator for HTC Vive.
I didn’t leave enough time for scoring and unlocks. If there is enough interest I will improve it, add new slammers and pogs, etc.
This was my first Ludum Dare experience and although I do feel happy that I participated and I am happy with what I managed to create, I gotta say:

… It was a ride.
Here’s my entry:

Now… to sleep… it’s night and got stuff to do in morning >_< …
It was strange and long road with some despair and sacrifices, but now we stand at the end of it. Looking back, we see that it was worth it. And if you create a game about despair and sacrifices you must understand that you will encounter it too.
You can try it here. The game about executions, torture, cruel medieval politics and hard choices.
And now I need to sleep. Good night!
Me and a friend participated in this Ludum Dare as our first game jam, and first game we had made together.
Game here: Dodge, Dash, Dip, Dive and Duck (bonus points to anyone who gets that vague reference)
Main aim: Climb around the large expanse of the temple room collecting golden ducks. 6 Ducks to get in total
Overall we are very happy with the game as a first attempt at a game jam. Features we planned on adding but ran out of time for included Stamina bar for dashing, a more detailed level and different themes for the level (space, pirate, e.t.c).
Any comments or feedback on the game and any improvements or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
AREA 51 is a game me, Bonecrusher and Jackass put together. You play as an alien cyborg cowboy from the future and go through area 51 as you kill aliens and get new weapons. You can get the game here: http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-37/?action=preview&uid=50040

A complete game! Front to back! No missing art or nothin’!
Pretty happy with this one if you can’t tell… More from us later once the jam winds die down… but for now we present:
Shadow Fencer Theatre!
Please enjoy! Also, if you happen to have a Joystick to play the game with, let us know if it works. We were having issues with the right stick not working with the HTML5 build, but we are on a Mac, so… you know…
Phew! It was a lot of work, but our game Stormrunner has been submitted. We had an absolute blast making this one, but too tired now to say much more. It’s a little buggy as these things always are, but we’re mostly really pleased with it. If you ever thought bolting a winnebago to a rail car was a good idea; if you ever wanted to escape a nuclear storm; if you ever felt like eating raw meat where you found it; THIS GAME IS FOR YOU.
Please check it out Stormrunner!
And don’t forget to turn on sound =)
Oh man, with only 10 minutes left to spare. It’s been a crazy ride but here it is – our one click survival game: Almost Home!
Hope everyone had a blast! Can’t wait to play everyone’s games…but first…Sleep!

Cure4Life is available in WebGL!
I could not get mine build working, until I changed my music asset load type to Streaming:

It was on Decompress on Load and my WebGL game couldn’t change scene from menu to game level and just hang chrome tab.
Changing to Streaming fixed everything
Sorry, just kidding, i wish you only the sweetest dreams but Johny’s got some bad dreams and you have to save him!
This is my 2nd ld and it was a hard one. It was very hard for me to work on it after an exhausting week without proper sleep. I used only about 20 hours of the jam but i made it! Its only available on windows now but its coming to mac and linux very soon (gotta install SDKs, silly me). Anyway, there are some screenshots and a download link below. Enjoy!

Well, I came to Ludum Dare with high hopes, but I honestly should have known better than to join in this year.
I have been at work for 38-40 hours over Fri/Sat/Sun, and the remainder was spent asleep, driving or getting ready for said work.
Monday I passed out and didn’t even get to start a game until 2pm local time.
“make a game in 72 hours” became “make a game in 8 hours,” which i unsurprisingly failed to do.
I still intend to continue my project and maintain a personal 72-hour timeline as a goal. I’ll submit it to the public and to the new website as a test.
Beaten, but not defeated!
It’s been a long day, but our jam entry is done. If you’re a fan of local multiplayer deathmatches, be sure to check out!

Bouncing Balls with the Boing Boing Boys
I’m looking forward to checking out other entries, but for now it’s time to sleep!

3 minutes later would have been too late
But damn, we did it !
Guys ! This is Alter Void !
