Alright, let’s all share our awesome tools for quick content creation here.
I’ve only got one – sfxr (http://www.drpetter.se/project_sfxr.html) It’s a pretty cool sound generator.

This could be interesting…
Shunning away my usual environments of C++, I’ll be using HTML5 / JS this time round with the ImpactJS Engine ( so jamming it! )
The rest of the week will entail me cramming everything I can about how it all works to ensure I don’t bomb too much 😉
Should things go well, I shall be using GIMP for graphics as per usual, LMMS for music and SFXR for sound effects, or maybe even warbling into a microphone.
Think it’ll be fun to push myself and learn something completely new ( and will be amusing if I manage something better than what I usually do! )
In last post I’ve declared my idea: use Flashpunk to build my entry for LD22. but.. I don’t know. I’m more capable now with Java, using Slick and MarteEngine, so I’m doubt, more update will follow!
I’m in…
Yay! This’ll be my 6th Ludum Dare!
Not sure what I’ll be using at this point and I probably won’t have much prep time (finals week right now… and I’ll probably be starting a bit late Friday night), but it should be a fun way to celebrate the start of break.
Graphics: Paint.net and Gimp;
Language: Actionscript 3;
Library: FlashPunk and maybe punkUI;
Audio: sfxr or Audacity;
IDE: FlashDevelop;
Other: Lots of food and drinks!
Good Luck to everyone!
This time around I’ll be using:
Unity, photoshop & blender.
My second LD!
This time i´ll be using my C++/OpenGL engine again, with some improvements.
Not a clue of what is coming out this time!
My first LD. Going to be working alongside a friend.
Probably going to be using either Unity or Flixel.
Hello fellas!
This is the first time I’ll attend Ludum Dare. I’ll probably not finish the game but we’re all here for the lulz.
Stuff I am going use:
First time I’m doing this. I’m gonna do the LD Jam.
Stuff I am going use:

So I was going through the Theme Voting for Round 3, and came across the theme “Beards”.
Immediately something like this came to mind:

It will be great if this theme wins 😀
I already have like 512 ideas
Anyone else feeling the same way?
This is my first Ludum Dare, and I am incredibly excited. I have the support of my wife to basically expend my weekend taking part in this awesome adventure. I have a ton of respect for those who have gone before me and I cannot wait to get started.
I will be using the following:
MonoDevelop
MonoGame (xplatform goodness)
Photoshop (Yes, legally obtained)
Anvil Studio (Open source VST for audio)
Full Throttle Berry, Coffee
Tumblr (I intend to try to live blog the whole thing)
Twitter (To shout out my live blog links)
BitBucket for source control and issue tracking (I doubt i’ll have time for issue tracking)
I’m in!
Gonna do this ludum dare thing. First timer!
Game with Game Maker
Art with GraphicsGale
Sound effects with SFXR or that other one thats similar to it but a bit better, whatsit called already??? that one.
Music with possibly a mic or maybe Anvil Studio.
Maybe that will happen, maybe it won’t. Seems like more fun than studying like I ought to.

A slime draws near!
Hi anyone!
I’m here setting all up for second time to start a lundum dare. I did this more than a year ago and I couldn’t enter the competition for a reason I don’t remember.
So, I see you should talk somewhat before starting it, I just voted for the 3 first polls, and I’m writing my presentation post, what else is left?
Oh, what should I use? I’ll use Java, I think, blender if I need 3d models, wich looks unlikely and LWJGL over JOGL, ’cause I used it before. Maybe I’ll use some code posted from “http://code.google.com/p/quadriga/” but seems hightly unlikely, ’cause there are many wrong things inside there.
Also, I hope not to break any rule, and if I do, it would be ’cause it’s my first time and I don’t know them at heart. So if you see me breaking any, tell me and I’ll just go “ouch!” and try to do better next time, it’s not my goal to win anything on first try (finishing something would be a great success).
And last, but not least, I’ll should warn you: I’m not english, nor american nor from anywhere where english is spoken, so forgive my spelling/grammar mistakes, I hope to not have done a lot of them 😉

A Midlands Indies meetup for Ludum Dare 22: you should come along if you’re nearby.
Location: ComputerMinds Offices, 8 Edison Building, Electric Wharf, Coventry: Google map
It’s the building just next to the entrance (shown here saying “this piece of la… and canal”). You will probably need to phone me to get me to let you in the gate.
If you’d like to come, please email me and I’ll send you my phone number.
Arrive around 11ish on Saturday and Sunday. Expect to be kicked out around 6-7PM on Saturday (I have a Christmas meal to get to), but Sunday we can stay as late as people would like.

After I’m done with the jam, I hope to submit a good executable. Last time I just submitted my source code and Linux executable, because I was too lazy to finish and submit my windows version (even though it worked). This time, I’ll be ready, and you can look for a windows executable to play. I don’t even have a copy of windows – just my iMac and a clunky laptop running Linux. But I have wine! And I can run Dev-C++ under wine on my Linux laptop to compile my C++ games for windows. Don’t worry, I’ve done it before. So – after the competition, look for my .exe submission. And please try it! I promise it will be fun. And if it’s not fun, then you can laugh at my fail.
I’m going into this competition armed and ready! Even though I’m actually doing the jam with a friend.
By the way – one of the best ways to feel prepared is to open sfxr and create some sound effects. You’ll feel really prepared.
Hopefully this will be a better effort than last year and maybe I’ll throw out an android version aswell!
I’m using…
Java (using the libGdx framework)
Eclipse (of course)
Paint.net for graphics
Possibly tiledQt (if it gets that far!)
Bfxr or sfxr for sound effects
