LD22 December 16–19, 2011

I’m in for my First Ludum Dare

This should be fun. I’ll give it my best hopefully I can actually finish something. This compo reminds me of weekend coding projects in College.

I’m gonna use:

1. Java

2. Eclipse IDE

3. Tiled

4. Audacity

5. Gimp

Good luck all

I’m in (again)!

Well, much the same tools as last time:

SAIpaint

SFXR

Processing

Maybe a few other things, and I might do some of it in Java too.

I think I’ve improved a lot since my last ludum dare and first game, so we’ll see how  this one goes. Anyway, whatever happens, I’m sure it’ll be good fun. Good luck!

Just gonna say…

If I beat Notch I will be the happiest person to have ever lived.  (the most self-riteous one to)

Shouldn’t you try to beat a previous winner?

I’m in!

So this will be my first time I’m doing Ludum Dare. I have no idea how this will turn out, but I’m excited. :)

I’m going to use Ruby with Gosu. Not sure yet about graphics art, even less so about sound, but let’s see about that when the time comes. I’ll also do a time-lapse recording.

Obligatory desk photo:

Now, off to get a good night’s worth of sleep!

You are the one percent.

We are in !

Hello, we are now in there too!
Our first ludum Dare Jam participation.
We are a team of two and use the following tools.
– Code: Delphi 7
– Type: SAI, GIMP, Pro Motion
– Sound: Bfxr, Audacity
– GFX API: OpenGL
– SFX API: Open-AL
For this event we’ll make a 2D game.  Built on homebrewn libraries.  Only for Windows… ;-(

Good luck and happy codeing :-)

PS: maybe there will be a cross platform release, after some really good napping :-)

My Personal Code Libary

I’ll be entering the Ludum Dare using C# with XNA with my trusty person code libary,  Bengine. Which handles State Managment, simple GUI controls and some other things. As the rules state it is available for anyone else competing here. Good luck to everyone.

lol

Hell if I don’t finish last I’ll be pretty damn satisfied.

Im in

I sadly did not manage to finish the last Ludum Dare so this time I hope I do.

I will be using Flash Develop with Flashpunk.

I will also be using Photo Impact 10 for art and SFXR for sound.

BATTLE STATIONS

BATTLE STATIONS

Some trivia:

  • I’ve been programming for a month. This will be God-awful.
  • C++ and SDL shall be used.
  • Sleep is for pussies/winners.
  • I smell really bad.

I’m in, hope I’m not too late :|

I hope I’m not too late for entering but I’m in! I absolutely love watching all the timelapses and reading the post-mortems so I figured I might as well take a crack at it.

I’m going to use LÖVE as it’s what I’m most comfortable in, Photoshop for my graphics and I’m undecided as to what music software, it will depend, I suppose, on what the theme is and what path I choose. This will hopefully give me a bit of a kick up the back-side and I’ll learn a lot in the process :)

It’s only too late to enter once the weekend is over. Come join the fun. :)

Yep not late at all! Still 2 and a half hours till the fun begins anyway :) So you havent even missed a second.

I’m in

Going to use:

  • bass (http://www.un4seen.com/)
  • librush (https://github.com/kayru/librush)

start will be late

as I’m going to get _sleep_ before the start. And certain preparation steps are still going on (due to certain things not being set up, due to earlier things and adjustments of work area and so on.)  Or in other words: No, I wasn’t set up.

Also I may have to swap to another keyboard, this one seems to have some issues with some keys. But I may not. I’m unsure. I am going to sleep.

I may wake up and read the announcement of the theme, and then think on that while. We’ll see.

Change of plans… Will try to get better on the art side.

I posted earlier that was in for the Competition. Actually I want to change my plans a little: I’ll be part of this LD as an opportunity to improve my drawing and modeling skills.

I’m a full time game developer, and by developer I mean ONLY developer. I totally suck on the art side; I have the technical knowledge on Photoshop, Inkscape and Blender, but it stops there. When it comes down to creating something, oh please… run away.

I’m tired of only doing crap art. For that reason, I’ll stick on this LD and try to draw and/or model something minimally good for once.

And if there is still time by then, I may bake a game.

in in in!

Excited to try this out. I’ve only recently been in the process of making a platformer using Flixel in terms of game design.

This should be a fun creative excursion!

My tools…

-Vim for coding, MXMLC for compiling from AS3 -> SWF, and Flixel as the main library.

-GIMP for tiling/spriting

-BFXR for possible sounds. PxTone, my favorite quick tracker, for music!

I’m in

Tools to be used:

– Visual: GIMP, tiled

– Code: Python (using pyglet or pygame libraries)

– Audio: bfxr, audacity

– preferred Energy drink: mountain dew, monster

– if all else fails: crowbar

I’m in. (Totally original title)

This will be my forth attempt at an LD.

Last LD didn’t go to well for me because I attempted to learn ASM and code homebrew in a weekend….. I should have learnt a bit more before I tried to do it, but thats in the past, and I’m ready to try another LD.

My tools this are:

Langauge: C++

Library: OpenFrameworks

Text editor: Nano + Textedit + Unitron

IDE: Xcode (I’m likely to stick to using the command line, Xcode 4 is a bit to intensive of an app sometimes. So I’m likely to build with “xcodebuild” instead of using the IDE for it.)

Image editor: Pixelmator + Pixen

Sound: Garage band + cfxr

-bear

(Vote for kittens!)

First Ludum Dare.

I’m in!

I plan on using D, eclipse, and DDT for coding and writing against derelict2’s OpenGL and SDL bindings, and possibly using chipmunk for physics. As for content creation, the GIMP and I are friends, and my MIDI keyboard plays well with LMMS.

Am I in?

This wasn’t scheduled well for me; I’ll be busy most of Saturday. Still, if there’s a really good theme (i.e. not kittens) I might slap something together…using Flash, perhaps FlashPunk or Flixel, or maybe a web thing with PHP, MySQL, possibly some AJAX thrown in there or maybe just JavaScript. I guess we’ll see!

I’m in

I’ll be attempting Ludum Dare again, hopefully completing my game this time round.

I’ll be programming my game in Java and using Pixelmator for most of the graphics work.

I’m in (pretty much)

As long as real life doesn’t interfere (which is possible, I’m supposed to be helping break up a block of concrete…?) I’m in.

My tools will be Love2D and whatever I can find to draw and make music with on my Lenovo Thinkpad tablet

This is the first time I’ve ever deviated from C/C++ (twice previous entrant, but both games sucked ass). Hopefully by focusing more on gameplay than low level tech. I’ll make something worthwhile

Let’s do this!
