Ready for Ludum Dare

I decided to join this Ludum Dare. These are the things I am using:

python – the language

eclipse/pydev – an IDE and the python plugin

pygame/zetric – a game engine and a custom library game engine

inkscape – a graphics editor

musescore – music, maybe? maybe I’ll just play the music. I don’t know.

Just hoping for the best

Joining LD 33

I’ll be doing Ludum Dare 33. Things I’ll be using:

language: javascript

editor: chrome dev editor (200 ok for the web server, nothing fancy)

libraries: zeploid (personal library), canvg(svg implemented in javascript) and glfx (webgl doing visual effects)

visual editor: pencil, paper and inkscape

sound effects: real life stuff and a recording device, I’ll see how it goes

music: if I can manage to put in the rhythm correctly and even get to making assets, muscore

planning: pencil and paper

distribution: my github pages website http://aucguy.github.io

by the way I’m planning on posting my files on github as I go at https://github.com/aucguy/Ludum-Dare-33

atom – the editor

inkscape and paint.net – graphics

musescore, audacity, chiptone – music and sounds

phaser – the game library

LD36

Entering Ludum Dare 36

I just copied this post from last time and edited it.

chrome – debugging and running the javascript game

200 ok – the web server

notepad++ – the editor, would use atom but it keeps on freezing for some reason

inkscape and paint.net – graphics, inkscape for gui and paint.net for actual graphics

musescore, audacity, chiptone – music and sounds

phaser – the game library

canvg – svg gui

javascript-state-machine – might be useful

basejs – error handling, asset loading, modules and a loading screen

pencil and paper – planning and time management

some base code – will become useful for a basis of my code

also, my code will be hosted at https://github.com/aucguy/Ludum-Dare-36 and the final game will (probably) be hosted at https://aucguy.github.io/projects/LD36/view.html, although the warmup is posted there now for testing.

By this point I’ve stayed up too late getting things in order considering I have to get up early tomorrow, so good night.
