I’m in
This is going to be my 2nd LD. This time I’ll make a game just by myself, solo, in a dark little room 😀
I’ll use Unity, GraphicsGale, Paint.NET and I am going to make a timelapse video.
So excited!

Almost there! I’m so excited about it. It’s 3.10 am and i don’t have a plan yet. i’ll be here till the start of the compo, after that – a brainstorm and then go and sleep for a while.
It was amazing. It’s 4:36am. I will write a little post-mortem a little bit later. Now sleep and then play you awesome games.
And wait for Jam games.
Oh, and I need to make a timelapse video! I recorded all 48 hours with 10 sec step.
Here(game page) is my game and here is a short gif of result
I uploaded my timelapse video on youtube. Check it out

WARNING : english is not my native language so I am not very good at it yet. So if you don’t understand something – let me know in comments below – this is probably my fault
This is my first post-mortem, so it will be pretty short.
My target for this Ludum Dare was to finish anything good enough. I spent this summer trying to make something interesting and finish it. And finishing games is my worst problem, sadly. This is why Ludum Dare and game jams at all are nice.
Game jams for me is not very different comparing to how I usually work. The difference is only that I sleep less and the target game is much simpler. Working a lot of hours per day is not very healthy, but when you make what you love – you don’t worry about the time at all. I think everybody know it right?
I was afraid of making something difficult and ambitious because it’s my first attempt LD Compo, but I made a few games in a short period of time for myself. I prefer to make a simple game but polish it as much as it possible in 48h for me, because it’s just 48 hours and I don’t have a time to learn something new. So, even before the start of the event I decided to make a game I already know how to implement, because I think game jam is a time where you use what you already know to make a game. I chose next “tags” for my game : 2D, platformer or top-down, action – that’s all.
The whole development process was like in flow and I think it’s because I already knew how I should make the next step to finish the game.
I’ve even made a background song using Bosca Ceoil which is “a nice and easy to use” software by the developer of VVVVVV.
So, that’s all. Nothing very special and unique, but I really enjoy that time.

Also I used Chronolapse to make a timelapse video of the development process. I always enjoy timelapses so it’s a reason why I make it when I can
Thanks everyone for reading and playing my game. It was a nice experience! And thanks Ludum Dare <3

Timelapse :
Looks like I’m going to make another game in 48 hours. I’m excited about it.
As always I’ll be using Unity and C#, Photoshop and LabChirp for sure. Everything else depends of what kind of game I’ll make.
Also I’ll make a timelapse, because I really enjoy it, and post a progress on Twitter.
Good luck for everyone!
I’m done. I mean here is the game .
ok. i’m going to do it again.
good luck to everyone and let’s make it awesome!

Here is our game for LD37

The constant theme with those jams is that no matter whether you chill during the whole process or made the game with coffee filled intencity - you will publish last minute. At least so in my experience
Does it happen to you too?
And at what point should I worry I have an addiction to risk and get as close to the deadline as possible?
And here's our jam game !
We are quite happy with the result! And in 10+ years of making games, it's still the first this kind of game for me. Never published such a UI centric puzzle game.

Just realised that 10 years ago I've participated in my first ever Ludum Dare 32 as part of a team. I've skipped many events over the years. But this time I'm here to tell that I'm in, together with @statt again this time
