Have fun and keep your head were you left it! 馃榾

Second Shapeshift

We thought we could share the enemy that got his Shapeshift implemented and a nice effect added. After placing him in the test scene he managed to find some friends chasing me while trying to test his new shape shift Ability. 馃榾

PS: I'm missing the old Page :D

We have finished the Picto World!

picto 2017-04-25 01-08-35-27.png

We finally finished the Picto World. It was a curious weekend, as we started late and got some delays. But in the end we got somewhere. It's different than the last games we made but i think we got something interesting.

You can find the links to the downloads at the game page:
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/picto-world

The Game isn't really fully finished and we have a bunch of things we want to add later. Lets see where this project finally ends.

Why its hard to get Rated?

The last days i noticed, that its really hard to get rated. On the pages where you could find games to rate mostly the same games are shown over and over again.

Mike really did a great job on the new Website and its getting better and better, but rating were and are still hard to get.

Also don't just rate games with a nice image, try also ones without the shiny images. I did and sometimes you will find great games.

Last i would be happy if take a look at my game as i don't really get rates:

Lost Lantern! Let's see who can escape!

We finally finished Lost Lantern! After fighting with the Theme we had some nice ideas and put them all into a nice small game. It might hit you hard and you will die, but maybe you can escape before the light goes out. If you win just let us know in the comments, it would be great to hear if someone escaped.

We're in! Let's get ready!

The 40th Ludum Dare and finally we know how to spell Dare thanks to the keynote!

As the last times I have teamed up with Skyane to get the fun started. We'll see if this time we maybe get some more to join in our office.

We will be using * Unity * Photoshop * Visual Studio * Audacity * ...

The other tools we decide on when we know the style our game will be in.

If you want to follow our development check twitch as we might be streaming some parts or all the time.

We wish you fun and great ideas, and we'll see you all at least when the game voting starts!

Source Control to the rescue!

As the 40th Ludum Dare is just a few hours away I remember some questions I always get asked.

One is what can you do when your code/project gets screwed up?

In some cases it's just that some files or scenes can't be loaded anymore or that by mistake the files or code got overwritten and this is easy to prevent.

I prefer to use a remote or local source control system like git or svn. Also when you are the only one who works on the project! It really can save your progress.

Every time you make a change commit your work and you get a version you can revert to if something bad happens. It also makes it possible to check code or assets you have created before and are not there anymore.

So while you are waiting maybe think about using a source control system to backup your work. You can find some great tutorials on YouTube. Also I prefer tortoise explorer integrations when you are on windows.

I wish everyone a great Ludum Dare!

It's just Secret of Poop

We would love to have you a laugh or at least a smile when you try our LD Entry, Secret of Poop. Just leave a comment as we really love to hear from you.

It isn鈥檛 really finished as we wanted to, but we will try to do a post-ld version to get some more things done, as also add the small things you would like.
