Not sure if I’ll submit…

I have family visiting, so I don’t have much time to work on a game this time around.

But, I’ll use what time I can find. Started on an underwater themed game, search and retrieve mechanic.

Step one is the underwater terrain.. Thoughts?

My own practice weekend

Today I challenged myself to create a game in 6 hours. While it doesn’t have the polish that a 48 hour challenge gives me, it has playable content, and its kinda fun.

The topic was suggested by @LucasZenenga from the Round 1 voting, and it was “Rise and Fall”.

I created a lunar lander style game with some decent terrain and a really crappy boxy model. The flight mechanics are good, and it challenges you to find all 12 platforms on the moon, without running out of fuel or oxygen.

Controls:

  • Space: Upward Thrust
  • WASD: Movement
  • Arrow Keys: Pitch and Roll – Rotation
  • Q/E: Yaw – Rotation

This was my first attempt at doing a timelapse.
Check out the timelapse here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ni41LU82xps

Count me in

I'm in the middle of a 30-day development challenge to myself, to make and release a game, and this is bang in the middle of it. But count me in anyway :)

Good luck to everyone, and remember to have fun! Get plenty of sleep, eat well.
