my theme suggestions didnt make it. maybe next time.
I saw others doing this so... here?
(there is also an animated version but it does not work when I upload it to the site???)
EDIT: oh and if you want to use it that's fine, just let me know and credit me for it.
EDIT 2: animated version here:https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/$233487/wallpaper-animated
Teaming up with the 5 time Ludum Dare veteran @trusty with my blender skills to try for a 3d game!

Look at the title
I've always wanted to create a derivation of the old gauntlet games on the Amstrad/Spectrum/Amiga and so today's game idea is somewhat drawn from that. It is a dungeon crawler in which you are to collect a certain amount of gold in order to continue to the next level.
I also really liked the game delicious cortex (by Deepnight for LD45?) and the control mechanism used to indirectly control auxiliary units to reach some objective.
Again, I don't think there is anything here which wouldn't be achievable within 48hours, and so I submit my third game proposal*
*Shoehorning into the announced theme definitely applies.

I will probably make a small game this weekend. I don't feel like stressing too much! Simple, but high quality is my goal.
My First Game Jam, My First Finished Game (hopefully)
Pretty excited to take another stab at the Jam. I'll be using Game Maker Studio 2 as my engine, Audacity for sound, and I'm not sure what yet for music but I'll find something (or maybe I'll find someone else to do the music?)
I've been repeating a mantra of "I will not overscope, I will not overscope, I will not overscope..." over and over for the last few days. But I will probably overscope anyway, since I never learned my lesson in the 3 LDs before this, lol.
I'm thinking of making a sort of arcade-style action game focused on surviving and getting a high score, but we'll see what I decide on after the theme is revealed. A few of the themes in the voting rounds so far really caught my interest, but the vast majority were a little uninspiring... so here's hoping we get something good.
I'm in, with Unity, Affinity, ... and other friends ;-)
First Ludum, with a friend. We're gonna put a lot of Baguette here !
I have a team member on Discord and he will be credited in the game description once the jam ends. As the title states, this will be my 2nd Ludum Dare I'm participating in. Can't wait to see what the creative minds in this game jam comes up when the theme is announced!
This is gonna be my 13th LD but the very first COMPO.
I'm gonna try out something totally new with no game engine, plain javascript using RxJS, drawing geometric shapes in html5 canvas ... hope I get something playable :fingers_crossed:
A simple JavaScript adventure game I wrote for practice: Sorrow, Hope, Hunger
2.4 has a few adjustments to make the eye puzzle a little easier.
Click here for hints if you get stuck.
The previous version of this game, for those interested, is here: Sorrow, Hope, Hunger 1.1

Haven't decided what framework to use. Unity 3d, MonoGame or Allegro.js. Not Pico-8 this time. I'll probably change my mind a couple of times along the way too.

NICE
Ok, lets see how much time I have on the weekend, but if all works out I am in for the fifth time.. yay! Using any or all of.. Godot Engine, INK, PyxelEdit, Gimp, Bsfxr, Audacity, Blender, Krita,.. probably my keyboard for music. Hyped! :v:

This is my second LD jam! and my first time making these "I'm in" posts.
