Our game Project PANDORA is now available to play on WEBGL!
A minor patch has been released to implement this fix and also fix the end sequence not finishing. Have fun! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/project-pandora
I've uploaded a tweaked version to make coming across the little folks inhabiting the woods easier, can you find all of them?

Get Deep in Dept taken literally! Financial Depths
This is a sort of survival game where you try to pay all your bills, while obviously being unable to pay them. Live on borrowed money! But how long can that last :credit_card: :fearful:
Game has 25 weeks and then a infinite progression for high scores and depts.
(Full disclosure, was made in the download version)

Thank you!

Some people where wondering how I did the visuals in my game, and oh boy, let me tell, I wasn't smart about it.
The playerobject and what is visible to the player are at entirely different locations. I didn't want to deal with disabling mesh renderers and excluding stuff from being rendered, so I solved that by just moving the camera far enough away with a very short clipping distance. Of course just excluding some layers from being rendered by the camera would have been a far easier and smarter solution. Because of my setup I had to recalculate a lot of stuff at the cameras position to make is visible, overcomplicating a lot of how the visuals work and ddditionally it made a lot of stuff to add impossible.
For example, I wanted to add more functionality to the flare: When using the flare I wanted to send out one "spherical sonar beat", giving an actual three dimensional look of the environment for one beat to make navigation easier. But with my convoluted system there was just no easy way to add that.
Here is a gif of how the game looks in the editor, with a view of the actual player object and what the camera sees.
Here is the gif as a video in higher resolution
If you have any question about my game and its systems feel free to ask!
Hello, By the way in Russia more flower service available and But I want to choose a good review service. If you know about any this type service, So please shared with me.

I'm live on Twitch, fixing a few bugs in our LD48 game, where you become a brave scientist who takes samples of flora on an alien planet, and tries to protect it from resource exploiters. Come hang out in chat, and check out the game here.
Later tonight, I will be playing and rating more viewer submissions! Stay tuned!

Come to see our work in game!

Hello everyone.
After all the people's frustration from not being able to play the game without getting to know the controlls I added a simple tutorial :)

I believe that when you played my Jam game, you don't understand what it was that thing that you take from the bottom of the sea and take to the surface.
This object is a reference to a project by the Brazilian channel Manual do Mundo, they are making a “homemade” submarine that will go to sea this year!

The most request feature from reviews was some TNT. After a bit of reading up on writing up programmatic signal connections, and now I can instance some TNT  :boom:

I've only done 2 game jams so far, but I think the thing that has stood out the most to me is sweeping the bugs under the rug.
In games I normally make, I attempt to create a perfect system. Something that performs exactly as expected in most if not all cases. Systems that can be reused and recycled in any case. During a jam, however, that perfection can be show stopping. In my latest game jam game, AQUATIC CAVE ASSAULT, there were many cases of bugs that would pose a big problem for a fully fleshed out game, but for a jam? Let's just sweep those right under the rug.
One such example is the line following system. I'm using Godot's built in path system, including the built in path following node. It actually works quite well. Through trial, error, and help of a tutorial or two, I got the sub movement on a 2D plane following along the path working really well. In the last few hours of the jam, we figured it was time to expand the level a little. Leadphalanx, the artist on the team, threw together some nice, interesting, and different geometry for the level. Going from cave, to concrete room, to cave, to concrete tube. It all looked very nice, until we ran a path through it. As soon as the path curved more than about 30 degrees controls went wonky. Real wonky. With only a short time left I didn't have time to debug and fix, so what did we do? We just make sure the path didn't turn past about 30 degrees from origin. And it worked. If you didn't know better, you'd think everything was working exactly as intended.
There were several spots like that. I didn't ignore the bugs, but I didn't fix them either, I lived with them. Time didn't allow for me to get the code perfect, especially when working with vector math I didn't really understand to begin with. But that doesn't really matter, what matters is that the game came together. It's a vertical slice. That's all it needed to be.
So when you are jamming, don't be afraid to sweep those nasty bugs right under the rug, nobody's checking.
First: Idea

Second: Mock-Up(Photoshop)

Final: Implementation (Unity)
